Prologue

-I must kill them all!

Given the considerable risk involved, this logical conclusion occurred to him. His body and mind were in a state of equilibrium, allowing him to consider implementing this idea.

He thought that the remnants of those who had once been wanted him to destroy them as well and kill the monster before him.

-My dear Theos, here's a glimpse of divine power, make sure you amuse me to the utmost of your ability.

-Come on, put your back into it.

-Don't let me get bored.

Step by step, he ran in the direction of his designated enemy, whose voice irritated him more and more; his speed increased at a frenetic pace.

To him, all of this was just a tasteless masquerade - what was divine about it? He had decided to kill her, wring her neck, and destroy her.

To her, all this was normal. She wanted to see this boy at the height of his power, to have fun with him, to reincarnate him.

He decided to focus on one thing to drown his anger: giving free rein to his anger.

He knew he was about to die.

The undead suddenly appeared in front of him at a reasonable distance, their speed unnatural, he thought.

-Are you going to keep hiding behind those things?

The boy couldn't hide his impatience any longer and swung his right foot to the left as soon as the first undead was in range.

The blow knocked the undead down, and the resulting wave knocked the other undead back into line.

But something was wrong, and that feeling grew in his heart.

-You noticed that? The newer they are, the more alive they are.

The girl smiled as she stated this fact, everything she said or did had the purpose of tormenting the boy at a safe distance from her.

But it wasn't just that, because some of the living dead were slow, there was a slight shift in the boy's perception and he could no longer trust his sense of time.

He wondered how long it had been.

-Remember the lesson.

The girl admonished him with a smile that only served to irritate the boy.

As she disappeared behind the growing number of undead, she added, "Is that how you're going to get to me ?

The boy yelled at her to shut up.

He knew that his only way out was death, whether she killed him, the undead devoured him, or his body collapsed under its own weight. He didn't understand the power the girl had used on him to break his limits, no, it went far beyond that, it wasn't just his own limits he felt free of, but it was ephemeral.

His blood circulated faster, his blood vessels exploded one after the other, his heart rate was much higher than normal, the amount of information his brain could process had also increased.

All his senses, his strength, his speed, his eyesight, he could feel it was beyond the definition of human, he was in a position of strength, he thought, and his enemy was deliberately provoking him.

Before he died for sure, he wanted to kill her.

To fight his way through the horde, he had compressed his muscles to unleash explosive speed to reach her.

He crushed everything, the undead in his path, not slowing down, he had no value for comparison, but he knew that the speed he was moving at was not athletically possible, he didn't know what was the maximum speed he could reach in this state, he was no longer surprised that he had just rushed at his enemy.

Suddenly, as he crushed the living dead in his path, an enormous pressure was added, the unpleasant sensation of a weight on every part of his body.

His body temperature was so high that the natural regulation had disappeared, and this time he felt like a knot in his stomach, the sensation made him want to vomit, so he stopped dead in his tracks.

This sudden change in speed put her body to the test, and blood began to flow from some of the pores in her skin.

-Have you finally figured it out?

All those living corpses you're destroying without remorse to get to me were actually people, and their bodies can't sustain life anymore, but where are their spirits? In this state, you should be able to see them.

The girl had started to laugh, such an innocent, sincere laugh.

Eerie halos gradually appeared in the boy's field of vision, but these halos were rather the result of his mind's attempt to give shape to what surrounded him besides the living dead.

-Among those you slaughtered without remorse may have been your friends!

Your acquaintances and neighbors!

The halos, as if in unison, emit unpleasant sounds as they express their resentment.

Save us!

Kill them!

Kill them!

Why me?

Save me!

They were moaning and groaning, blood-curdling sounds coupled with the din of the living dead.

A hellish vision worthy of a horror movie.

He felt heavy!

Theos!

Theos!
