Return of the model & Yui's hidden talent...?

The Seirin team were in the locker room getting dressed for training. Koganei spotted a basketball magazine on the bench and looked through it.

"Didn't this issue come out when Kuroko was on the Teiko team?"

Hyuga stood beside him and they flipped through the magazine but couldn't find Kuroko.

"Kuroko...doesn't have an article,"

Koganei looked at Kuroko, "Even though he's the sixth man, didn't they come to interview you?"

"They did, but they forgot about me,"

""So sad"" Izuki, Hyuga and Koganei said looking at the boy with pity.

Kuroko ignored their pity and spoke, "Besides, I'm not like the others. They're real prodigies."

When he finished, the door burst open and in came a happy looking Fukuda.

"She's back! The coach is back! We're gonna play a practice game,"

"Who are we gonna play?" Hyuga asked.

"I don't know. She was skipping for some reason though." Fukuda said scratching the back of his head.

Hyuga looked startled and anxious, "She was skipping?!" He turned towards his teammates and spoke in an ominous voice, "Be ready everyone. If she's skipping, our next opponents are gonna be real tough,"

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Outside the gate of Seirin, a handsome blonde guy stood and stared at the school with a smirk plastered on his face. "So this is Seirin, new and pristine like I expected,"
He walked in and immediately attracted the many gazes of girls who blushed and whispered excitedly as he walked by. Kise smiled and found his way to the gym where the team were practicing.
Kagami displayed his skills which were aggressive and rough as always and the team watched him dunk in awe. The first years commented that he may be able to match the GOM and even have a chance at beating them.
The blonde model who had yet to make himself known watched the redhead and wore a smirk.
"Okay gather around," Riko called the players together. She told them who their opponent for the practice match was and everyone looked stunned.
"A practice game against Kaijo?" Hyuga asked with wide eyes. It was a well known fact that Kaijo was a top school and this year, they got ahold of a member of the Kiseki no Sedai, Kise Ryouta.
"That's right. They won't disappoint us," Riko said looking happy. 'This will help prepare the team for the games to come.'
Everyone seemed nervous. They were fully aware of Kaijo's strength so winning against them was quite unlikely.
Kagami was fired up knowing he'd get to play one of the generation of miracles so early.
Suddenly, the team's attention was brought the overwhelming amount of girls that appeared in the gym. They were all surrounding someone.
"That's...."
"What is the generation of miracles, Kise Ryota, doing here?"
The blonde model was giving autographs to the girls and he made eye-contact with Kuroko who greeted him. "It's good to see you again," the bluehead said with his usual blank face.
"Good to see you," Kise replied with a grin. The team watched the exchange with curious eyes when Kise looked sheepish and apologetic. "Ah I didn't mean for this to happen. Sorry could you give me 5 minutes?"
For the record, it took longer than five minutes.
"Hmm?" Yui looked at the photo on her phone and grinned. Her source from Seirin had managed to snap a pic of Kise meeting the Seirin team and sent it to her. 'So it's time already huh?'
Kise...the first miracle to lose.
Yui was glad the the cocky blonde will finally get a taste of defeat. Sure it was harsh of her to think that but the arrogance of the GOM had really gotten on her nerves despite her knowing the story. Kise was a nice guy in general but he really needed to get rid of that 'winning is everything' thought process.
Her phone buzzed with another incoming photo and she saved them in her phone. Yui sent a text to Kagami wishing him luck. He probably wouldn't see her message till practice is finished.
Today, Yui was by herself at home. Her mom had gone out with a couple of friends and the rest of her family were busy. She had to admit that she missed Atsushi who was always with her. He was good company.
Yui stood up from her chair and stretched. Since she had completed her work for today, she had some free time to spare. Her eyes glanced at the object in the corner of her room and she grinned.
It was a skateboard.
The girl scribbled a note and left it on the table in case her mom came back home and she left the house with the skateboard tucked under her arm.
Now, many will have questions about the skateboard so to explain briefly; in her first life, Yui had watched a skateboarding anime which attracted her attention and awe. She loved the way the characters rode and it made her want to try it out too. Unlike basketball where she had close to zero talent in, Yui was surprised that she could skate. Not on the first try of course but she had good balance for someone so unfit.
Every now and again, she would practice skating and often sneak off to a skate park to try out tricks. Her mother was often worried when her daughter came home covered in cuts and bruises and asked if she was getting bullied. Yui told her what she was doing and her mom scolded her for being reckless and bought her some paddings for her birthday.
Yui smiled as she thought of the memory. It was a wonderful birthday gift and she used the padding constantly until she felt ready to go without them.
Her new family weren't aware of her hidden talent yet but not because Yui was keeping it a secret but because she was either too busy to tell them or forgot about it.
The day she went out shopping, she had bought herself a skateboard and put it in her room without anyone knowing because they were all busy at the time.
Today was finally the day she could use her new skateboard and she was excited.
Kagami was excited. Overy excited. His loss against Kise didn't bother him in the slightest and it only fired him up more for the game against his school. The team was packing up to go home and Kagami opened his phone to check the time.
His eyes caught a message in his inbox and he blinked when he saw it.
= Good luck on your game with Kaijo. I'll cheer for you from the shadows :)=
"Something wrong Kagami-kun?" a voice from his side spoke and Kagami jumped in shock and glared angrily at his partner.
"What the hell Kuroko! How long have you been there?"
"I've been here the whole time," Kuroko said with unblinking eyes. He saw when his partner looked at his phone and he had caught a glimpse of the former's smile, though it was only for a second.
Kagami rolled his eyes and slammed his locker shut, "It's nothing,"
There was no way in hell that Kagami was going to say how he met this pretty girl at Maji burger and became friends with her. He was too lazy to deal with unnecessary questions or Kuroko's blunt comments.
The duo took their leave first and walked together for a while before parting ways.
Kagami waited until Kuroko was out of sight before texting his new friend back.
= Arigato Yui.=
He was surprised when she replied back immediately.
=Sometime after your game, would you like to meet up? Also, do you skateboard?"
'Hmm? Skateboard?'
=We can meet. I used to skateboard a little back in America.=
=Great! Then I'll text you the place and bring a skateboard=
Kagami's eyebrow twitched at how bossy the girl was being but ignored it and just replied with a simple 'okay'.
Looks like he'll have to go shopping for a skateboard.
