Asher.

Yep, that's my name. It's cool, actually. Specially my last name. Anyway, it is May so it means I'll be back at school in just a few days and meet my classmates again. I'm still on vacation-bored, I sent a message to our group chat.

Asher: yo, how's vacation guys?

They're not online yet. Seeing how nobody replies, I put my phone down and watched Netflix.

I'm so into Netflix this days, I actually finished variety of shows in just two months. I'm currently finishing Stranger Things because on September, the show will be back for its fourth season. My eyes were glued to the television when my phone suddenly vibrated.

I paused the show, grabbed my phone and checked my messages.

It's them. They replied.

Agatha: Hey, Ash! I'm good here.

Maddie: I'm fine too!

Cristina: What's up dorks!

Irish: Heya guys!

Justin: Yo, my man! What's going on?

Mika: Hi.

My friends call me Ash for no reason. But I think they were just too lazy to call me by my full name, or they just made that up so it'll be easy to call me, or it's just the same thing. I actually felt good seeing those replies. So, I texted them back.

Asher: We'll be meeting soon, so excited to see all of you.

After I sent that text, Agatha invited us for a video chat. I answered it, we all answered it. Seeing their faces full of joy and purity made me also smile. I waved a hand to them.

"How's the book?" Cristina started the conversation. She was directly talking to Irish because she bought Irish a book as a gift last year.

"It was awesome!" Irish replied with her face overwhelmed. "I loved the characters, the plot..." They kept talking while we watch and listen to them.

After they stopped talking, I engaged myself to speak, "So, it is our last year being together, huh?" I was serious and cold at that moment then Agatha gave me this what-the-evenly-hell-are-you-talking-about look. She chuckled and that made me really confused.

What's funny about that?

"Have you had enough sleep?" she said, teasing a smile.

"Not really, no." I uttered as I shake my head in confusion. "That just hit in my head that this will be the last time, the last year we will be together as seat mates, as friends, as.. one."

I'm so dramatic.

"So you're saying that after we graduate, we will not be friends anymore?" Mika said, her camera was off.

"No, no, no, no that's not what I meant."

"I'm just kidding, Ash. Of course all of us will still be friends, our bond is strong." Mika followed up.

"She's right." Justin then charged in. "We're not friends because we are at the same school. We are friends because of our relationship."

Wow, that just happened. We are all so dramatic. I know it.

"So chill out, Ash. Lets just enjoy all the things we will do in the future." this came from Maddie.

I was astonished on what I recently heard that actually came out of my friends' mouth. We kept talking until my phone reached the end of its life, but that's fine, atleast I didn't waste my time doing nothing.
