I had died, boom, splat, gone. Just like that, with none of my dreams or aspirations completed, but then I realised something. Why could I still think? And then I realised something else. Why could I open my eyes? Was I alive!? Not only that had I become a Young Master!? --------------------------------------------- For fun, not very serious, read it if you want, its nothing top tier but I hope it can at least be a good time filler for some.

Chapter 4 If Knowledge Is Power Then I Will be Invincible!

"Are you really sure you want to go to the library?" My mother asked me as we walked towards the library. At this point I had repeated myself many times but my mom was still surprised that I'd want to go to the library.

"Why else would I learn to read." I replied, and immediately an expression of realization dawned upon my mother's face. It seemed she finally connected the dots, to be fair to her it was quite rare for a child my age to take interest in the library of all things so I couldn't blame her.

A few minutes later we came up a large pagoda like building, it was grand majestic but not many people could be seen going in and out of it. Entering the pagoda I was amazed by how many books it contained.

There had to be at least 100 shelves on the first floor alone each lined with books from top to bottom and end to end. It was simply amazing. 'The more I see the more I believe I am not just from a Clan but from a big Clan.'

While I was somewhat lost in thought my mother was having a brief discussion with the old librarian. "So this is young master Lei Li?" He asked with a smile as he stroked his grey beard.

"Yes, I am sorry to inconvenience you Sir Librarian, but I hope you won't mind if he stays on the 1st floor and reads some books." My mother replied trying to be humble but not too humble. After all our status in the Clan wasn't low but my mother was never the type to be overbearing.

"Of course it will be fine, as long as he damages no books and doesn't cause any disturbances he's welcome here." The librarian said and with that I was given the go ahead. After bidding farewell to my mother I asked the librarian a few questions pertaining to the organization of the books before beginning to read.

First I naturally started with the Geography section, after all knowing your position in the world at large was probably for the best. After about a week I had more or less gathered basic knowledge on the world.

To begin with the world itself was called Ebbi, for whatever reason I didn't know, and on Ebbi there were 6 Continents. Out of the 6 I lived on the Floating Mountains Continent which about a medium sized Continent compared to the rest.

Unlike the rest it had a special feature, which was where it got its name from, that being the 5 Floating Mountains. Reading about such a mystical thing I was quite surprised at first, but soon rationalized it as some formation.

But then I continued reading and was shocked once again. The Floating Mountains were actually naturally formed, as long as anyone could remember the 5 Floating Mountains had always existed and were the best locations on the Continent.

Situated in the North, South, East, West and Center of the Continent the Mountains were conveniently used to separate the Continent into 5 Domains being the previously mentioned directions.

I lived in the Eastern Domain, where the Rumbling Thunder Sect occupied the Floating Mountain. These mountains were extremely important as they were seen as a sign of power and status, not to mention having the highest density of Qi in the continent.

Because of this the 5 Great Sects occupied one mountain each being seen as the rulers of their respective Domains. That didn't mean they could just do whatever they wanted, as Clans existed, the strongest being the 10 Supreme Clans.

While not as strong as the Sects they carried enough weight to not be easily ignored by the Sects, and some of their members even occupied positions of power within the Sects. The most interesting thing that I learnt here, was actually that the Lei Clan was one of the 10, and not only that it was all the way up at 6th place.

When I learnt about this I was naturally shocked beyond belief, being part of the 6th strongest Clan in the continent was quite good after all. Not to mention that the gap between 6th and 1st wasn't all that great.

Having learnt all this my hunger for knowledge only continued to grow. Since I wasn't doing anything else with my days I simply read, read and continued to read. It was always good to have more knowledge as you never knew when it would come in handy.

Starting from the Eastern Domain, I memorised the various Kingdoms, Cities, Empires and Small Sects. Who we were allied with, who we were enemies with, along with special locations found throughout the continent.

While I was interested in the other continents the library simply didn't contain much information on them which led me to simply focus on the Floating Mountains Continent, which in hindsight was better. Distracting myself with information on the other continents when there was already so much to learn about my own continent was unwise.

Week after week, month after month, I continued to read, I turned 4 years old and still continued to read. By the time I was about 4 years and 8 months old I finished the 1st floor the library.

"Sir Librarian I've finished the 1st Floor can I go to the 2nd?" I asked in as sweet a voice as I could. Hearing my words the librarian raised a brow. Naturally he knew me well at this point but he didn't think I had already finished the 1st Floor.

"Are you serious?" He questioned me in disbelief, to which I simply nodded. "Haa, unfortunately I can't allow you to go to the 2nd Floor, unlike the 1st Floor the 2nd Floor and above are fill with classified information." Hearing this I was quite disappointed but didn't press the matter further.

'I'll get in somehow.' With that thought I left the librarian having learnt all I could.
