The soothing sounds of crashing waves blended with the melodic trill of birdsong, creating a near-perfect atmosphere. The sun was not too harsh, and a cool breeze danced in the air. Overall, it was an ideal morning to wake up to, so why…
…why couldn't Gu Luoxin get a wink of sleep?!
Lying sprawled on the bed, Gu Luoxin stared blankly at the ceiling, his eyes bloodshot with dark circles hanging beneath them. He was still wearing yesterday's clothes as he had directly crashed to the bed as soon as he stepped into the room, only to remain frozen in the same position without moving. With his four limbs stretched wide like a starfish, he could even pass off as any corpse in the morgue if not for the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest.
The gentle ray of sunshine that draped over his form seemed like a joke, mocking how pathetic and miserable he was.
And the most laughable part was, it wasn't even a big deal!
