When the sun danced

"I, Thandie Lohan vow to focus all my energy on building my career and the day I fall in love again will be the day the sun dances". I was done with men and their empty promises, the old fairy-tale romance Thandie was gone and that is how I met him, a simple desire, the curiosity to know how the warmth of his body felt pressed against mine. It was supposed to be a passing phase, an experiment and he was supposed to be a companion that came with very little expectations, a temporary plaything... 2. When we met

This beautiful man came to my workstation, his round brown eyes looked inviting and he held out his hand to me,

"Hi, my name is Walter Sekulu, and you are..."

"Leaving..." my manager cut him off, "Walter, please leave my office and stop disturbing my secretary, I have high hopes for her. Please leave before she decides to leave me because of your craziness..."

"But cuz, I am just asking for her name, plus, remember is my birthday next week and I will bring the cake here, so I need to know if she's allergic to anything..." he said looking at her with puppy dog eyes,

"No Walter and I told you not to address me as your cousin in the office, President will do just fine, now leave and stop disturbing the peace in my office", she took off her glasses to wipe them and then remembered something, "Before you leave, bring in two coffees and also bring the company diary for Ms. Lohan and ask the IT guys to come and set up her screen and laptop"

Walter disappeared and came back after 15 - 20 minutes with a guy from IT. I stood up from my desk and gave him the space to do his job in peace. Walter handed me the cup of coffee and the diary with a smile and turned to my manager, "So, next week right?",

"Yes Walter, now go or you will be late for your meeting", my manager said shooshing him away.

The Sekulu-Adams company was one of the top 5 publishing companies in the city, they were not only a publishing company... they also had an entertainment agency that recruited and managed talent. Although the agency was not as big as the publishing division, it was doing well and Walter managed that division. In fact, it was his idea and he took the proposal to the President and the board members, in all fairness, they were skeptical at first but they knew Walter and his keen eye, the man can turn anything into gold and so they decided to give it a go.

Right before Walter walked out, he turned to me with an inviting smile and said, "See you around Ms. Thandie Lohan"
