"Looks like he's already out of prison." Stepan announced, staring at Rowan through the rear view mirror.
"I knew it wouldn't be that easy." He responded, his gaze tightly pointed at the window, particularly at the view around surrounding the car. "But why'd you drive all the way out here for?" Rowan asked, referring to the cliff Stepan drove them to.
"Can't have the trade off at the city now can we?"
"I suppose." He diverted his gaze to the papers sitting on the front seat. "This plan of yours, do you honestly think he'll sign that in exchange for my life?"
"Don't tell me you're backing out? You already sold yourself as this useful asset. My plan is riding on how good your ass is." Stepan said, meaning every single word.
"Where's your brother?" Rowan inquired, scrolling through his phone to pass the time.
