Chapter 19 (Updated)

There's nothing noteworthy happening today at school. As usual, I'm passing the time by solving a question in the exercise book. And then having lunch with the other. After school, I'm gone on a date with Nicole and bought her the dress she's wanted. At night, after some more training from her. I'm gone to the Roxy bar to get some cash $7000 to be exact. For that dress, I bought for her is too damn expensive. On the way back, I'm not coming across the veiled woman today. Sigh, does she's not coming here every day? So, I'm coming back home with disappointment and go to sleep.

Friday

I'm coming to school with Nicole while whistling a chipper tune along the way. As I'm bringing the prototype console along with a game tape in my bag. Because it's almost ready, as it only needs some debugging. Lunchtime would be a better time to invite the girl. To visit our clubroom right after school. So, they can serve as our tester. Like yesterday, this morning I'm receiving another harsh training from uncle Victor. From the training, I can conclude that I earn SPECIAL point from accumulation. As there's no increase in my base status after the training.

Sigh, yay my work keep increasing. Say, no one ever, ugh, I'm going to be bald from stress if this keeps happening. Noticing my worsening mood, Nicole asks with concern, "what happen, Ray? Why are you getting upset of a sudden?" My heart feeling warm hearing concern. Smiling, I'm shaking my head, "Ah, it doesn't matter. All I can say is that I'm a little frustrated by something. Aside from that, have you ever wondered why I'm so happy today?" Shaking her head, she's replying with a smile, "no. But do tell me why, with the excitement, then?"

Smiling with pride, I'm telling her the great news, "the project is almost completed. All it need is for me and the other to debugging it during lunch." Her go wide in surprise, as she asks for clarification, "is that true, is it done?" I'm nodding with a grin, "of course! So, why don't you invite your friend to visit our clubroom after school. For some test, how about that?" She's nodding with excitement, "sure! But, make sure it's ready when we get there, okay?" Nodding again, I'm replying with a smile, "okay, I promise. When you come, everything will be ready."

After a while, we arrive at school right on time. With a goodbye kiss on the cheek, we go to class. Opening my classroom door, I'm greeted by the cheerful George from the back of the class, "hey, good morning Ray!" Smiling, I'm greeting him back, with a nod, "good morning George." Moving to my desk, I'm rotating the chair to face him and take a seat. Excited, George asking me, "hey Ray, are you finished with your part yet?" Smiling, I'm replying with confidence, "of course it's done." I'm pointing my bag behind me, "look, everything is in my bag. And now there's only debugging left to do. Anyway, I have already invited the girls to test it out after school."

Nodding, George eye lit up in excitement, "that's a great idea, Ray!" We start talking about the game and the girl until the bell ringing. Rotating the chai back to its proper place. I'm sitting in silence and wait for the teacher to start the lesson. The classes start and ended as usual. But I'm thinking there's something wrong with teacher Ellen. Come homeroom, it feels like she's avoiding me. For example, when our eyes met, she tries to avoid my eye. And she's staying away from my desk general area, too. I'm starting to wonder why, though, is she sullen. Cause of that time I'm groping her breast, on accident?

At lunch, I'm telling the guys about the news. So, we strive to finish our lunch as fast as possible. With the blessing of the girls, we go to our clubroom and go to work. It's almost taking our entire lunch break. But with sheer will and determination. We cleared most of the game breaking bug we can find. Man, I can't wait for the girls to try it out. As I'm already make a three great built in game for the console. Bomber man, an action game where you're solving puzzle and killing enemy. By placing a bomb in a grid. Next is chess, well, the name pretty self-explanatory.

The last game on the list is Thief, a top-down strategy game. Where you play as a thief to steal something of value. Then you must go run away with the loot while avoiding the guard. With a satisfied grin, we look at our console on top of the workbench. A dome shaped device with a projector lens in the middle. Grinning, I'm looking around the room and say, "We did it, guys! Thank you, without your help, I won't be able to finish it at all." Bruce, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment, "nah. I'm the one who should be grateful to you. Without your invitation, we ain't never gonna work on such interesting thing ever."

The other nodding in agreement. Flattered, I'm replying with a smile, "aw, thanks guys!" Grinning, I'm grabbing four controllers beside the console, "anyway. Why don't we try it out then, who's with me?" Excited, everyone taking the controller from my hand. And plugging it in the console. Inserting the tape, I'm turning on the console, making the lens light up. As a holographic image appear in midair on top of the device. We play a short round of Bomberman. But alas, our game time getting cut short as the bell is ringing.

Turning off the console, we're leaving it behind in the clubroom in favor to go to class. On the way, George asking me with curiosity, "hey Ray. What are you going to do with the console then?" Looking at him, I reply while rubbing my chin, "well. At first, my plan is for us to build our own company. With some help from your father and my grandfather. But with my plan of building my own vault, I want to sell it to our family." Taking a deep breath, he's looking at me with a tangled expression, "you-you really want to build it, huh?"

I'm nodding with a solemn expression, "of course." Frowning, George asking with worry, "why? Why are you so obsessed to build the vault?" Taking a deep breath, I'm looking out of the window. Seeing a busy street filled with car and people with a forlorn expression. While clenching my fist, "it's because we don't have much time." Puzzled, he wants to ask further, but I'm stopping him by raising my hand. Smiling, I say, "stop, we're better discussing this another time." Walking away, I'm beckoning him to follow me, "come on. Our next class is math, you know."

George eyes go wide in fright as he's trying to keep up with me. While shouting in a hurried tone, "hey, wait up, Ray!"
