Chapter 14

They got in the car and took the highway straight to college. Niall and Miranda stopped in between to unpack some food and had lunch together.

"I better supply these to all the rooms on our floor. Why don't you take some of them too," Miranda said looking at the tons of food.

"Come to my room and Store in the refrigerator, if it doesn't get over,"

"In staff quarters? No freaking way," and Niall laughed at her. Niall kept the news for a surprise later.

"There you are, where is it, we were waiting since you texted," Shia opened the door as Miranda walked into their dorm.

"Wow! did you girls clean in here?"

"Yes, how is it? The delivery guy came yesterday and brought us all the good things we ordered to decorate the room. The wallpapers all cleanly pasted, photo against the wall against each of their beds, a clock, new cloth holders and stand, a mini shelf for cosmetics, the long table in the middle of the room arranged neatly with the laptop in each place. Everything looked neat and good. Renee helped to carry the bags and opened them slowly.

"Rich girl, why did you get them all of a sudden?" she asked her.

"It's a long story,"

"We sure do love the long stories, don't we sis?" Shia winked at Renee. They settled down around the table and Miranda narrated the whole of the story to them.

"Oh wow you're so hot," Shia said biting her sandwich.

"Am dieting but why not?" Renee said and took another slice of pizza.

"Be careful around him what if he comes or you, like you know, revenge," Shia said.

"No, he wouldn't do that, what's his name? Darren? I think since you were with another guy, he is going to come back begging you," Renee opinioned opening a can of orange-flavored soda.

"Wait, who was that guy you were with? You said he is from college." Renee asked suddenly. Miranda ignored her.

Shia did an evil laugh. We are not letting go till you answer that babe,"

"Niall, we were friends before,"

"Professor Niall," Renee said in shock.

"You two knew each other before really,"

"It's another story," Miranda said laughing looking at their confused faces.

"Good gracious I love this today, lots of food and stories to listen to," Shia said munching on the fires. "Didn't you get sauces for this?" Renee and Miranda gave her a look as she asked.

"Sorry," Shia apologized soon.

"Ok start," Renee said. And Miranda shortly narrated her history with Niall since the fresher's party four years before.

"I smell good stuff here," Shia said standing up from the chair and walking over to the bed to lie down.

"Trust me, all good stuff,"

"She is high on food, let her be," Renee told Miranda and got up.

"Let's give some these to the other girls next room, come help me," Miranda got up packing some of the sandwiches and tarts, cakes, and pies.

"Let's fill the common refrigerator too," Miranda then took some and packed separately for Niall. After supplying on her floor, Miranda in fear walked towards the staff quarters. She called Niall out to the ground floor away from the entrance hiding in the garden to not be seen by anyone.

"What are you afraid of?" Niall called out from behind that made Miranda jump.

"Here, these are for you," she handed the bags to Niall as she instructed him how to keep in the refrigerator and how to heat each of them and he watched her carefully. He couldn't help but recall all the incidents that happened in the morning and he smiled.

"What?" Miranda asked him.

Coming back to senses Niall covered up. "I am so full looking at this,"

"Okay then, bye. See you around," she said and left as he nodded at her. They didn't see each other much for the next several weeks busy in their schedules. It was already mid-semester exam period for Miranda. Niall would see her once a while going for his general classes and smile or wave at her. Some days he watched her walking around her friends in the cafeteria, busy in her own world. Miranda asked Tristen to not come for the weekends since she had to study for her exams.

Never waste the food and always remember to share it with everyone. There could be thousands of people who hardly get to at least one meal a day while we eat five times in a day. Miranda didn't want to waste food and good for her.
