#Chapter45
As I walked out of the restaurant with the basket clutched in my hands my chest felt full. I was giddy with happiness.
My eyes immediately caught sight of Sebastian who was standing a few feet away, leaning against the car. He hadn't seen me yet.
For a moment I just stood there and watched him.
His hands were shoved into the pockets of his jeans. His gaze was downcast. His features were harsh, and drawn into the frown he usually wore.
His shoulders suddenly tensed and his gaze lifted, like he had sensed me watching him.
As soon as he saw me his whole face lit up, his expression immediately softened.
His lips spread into a grin, the creases in his cheeks becoming prominent.
My heart gave a happy little lurch.
