" You can do this you know? You just need to push yourself a little bit."

" I can't… I can't do this, I am going to die."

" Don't be such a coward!"

" I am not being a coward!"

" It looks so simple!"

" You do it if you think that it's so simple!" snapped Vanessa as she tripped for the twentieth time while learning how to walk in heels, seeing her fall once again, Derren smacked his armrest and simply shook his head. " You know what? You should just give up on making that guy fall for you, this is not going to work! You can't cook, you can't sew and you walk like a baby penguin trying to run for his life. Which, if you ask me doesn't look cute in fact it makes you look like some sort of malnourished brat whose legs can't even take her own weight. Give it up, I say abort the mission!"

" Shut up!" snapped Vanessa as she somehow pushed herself from the floor and with her feet shaking like crazy, she unfastened the belts of these sheer monstrosities that the humans came up with under the name of fashion. Vanessa too wanted to quit many times but then Nick's blushing face when she called her cute would flash in her head and she will just pick herself up and continue her struggles of becoming the type of woman that he liked.

It was just that she couldn't do it. It was impossible—— she didn't want to admit it but it was indeed impossible, she will never be able to walk in those heels and even if she could, how was she supposed to run in case she was attacked by one of her enemies? Though Vanessa said that she would try to change herself but she couldn't bring herself from taking a break from the mafia world much less step out of it completely and let go.

" Then what am I supposed to do? Watch you make a fool out of yourself?" said Derren as he spread out his hands and looked at her with disbelief. " I just don't understand why you are so hell-bent on marrying that guy? It is not like there is a severe lack of men like him. If he is your type then I can look for guys like him, I think I can get a few for you."

"It's going to be him or no one else," said Vanessa as she nursed her sore feet, Harrison noticed that she was struggling with the pain of walking in the heels and hurried over with an antiseptic that Venessa took with a smile and a quick thank you. Harrison was one of those few people who can get a thank you from Vanessa and that too because he was the one who raised her since her father was too busy frolicking around with his mistresses and her mother was well —— incapable to take care of her.

Derren threw his hands up in the air and then turned to look at Nolan. " You tell me, Nolan, do you think that this is going to work?"

" Maybe?" Nolan's response was flippant and it didn't impress Derren in the slightest who tilted his head at him and started looking for his gun.

" Alright fine, it's not going to work," said Nolan as he to gave up to give Vanessa any false hope. Shooting her a quick apologetic look, he continued, " Newman might look like he is a simple guy but he has many demands when it comes to his life partner."

" Hear this?" said Derren as he pointed at Nolan who for once was taking his side. " No man sane enough is going to fall for you, they need to have a crack somewhere, to accept a wild cat like you in their house and unfortunately that guy looks like all his nuts and bolts are at the proper place."

" He is going to be mine," It was as simple as that and just as complicated as well.

" Oh God, this girl is going to be the death of me." Derren breathed heavily as he rubbed his face with his hands. " Talk about making him yours when you can make tea without burning the kitchen or adding too much sugar that is enough to kill anyone. Got that?"

" It wasn't that sweet!"protested Vanessa.

" My blood reports says otherwise," shot back Derren as he raised his hands in an 'I am done with this conversation manner. " It clearly shows that my blood sugar level raised and I didn't eat any other sweets other than drinking your tea."

Vanessa pursed her lips stubbornly. She wasn't going to admit that she was at fault here, after all her brother was the one who volunteered to eat and drink whatever she cooked.

" Maybe we can try to fake everything." Before another fight could break Charity clutched her notepad and pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose as everyone turned to look at her.

" What do you mean by that?"

Charity licked her lips before speaking, " I mean there are many times that people have to resort to lies so that they can save their lives. Why not say a few lies and make Mr Newman fall for Young miss first? As long as we can fake a few things and present young miss as those women he usually dates or meets. If we do this then Miss wouldn't have to learn everything from the scratch and if Mr Newman falls for Miss, then I think that he will accept her no matter what—— and even if he finds out about Miss's true identity as long as they are married what can they do? They will have to accept miss no matter what."

" You mean to say—— we should start the plan on the premise of deception?" asked Derren as he blinked his eyes and slowly tried to process Charity's plan.

Charity shot a look at Vanessa who didn't look too happy about it and then said, " going by how things are going, I don't think we have many options left."

Vanessa's expression pinched as she said, " I don't really like this plan."

At this moment, Derren turned around and dipped down until he was face to face with her. " Do you have any other options other than this?"

She hated to admit it but she really didn't have any other options. So, plan of deception was accepted by everyone without any further arguments.
