" Nick, are you really okay? Should we spend the night at the hospital?" Mrs Newman was really worried, they were after all a normal family the last time she heard something so dangerous happening to her family member was when her husband was still in the police department and there was a fight between thugs but that was when they were in twenty and the fights between two groups didn't use to be this crazy.

But this time it wasn't just a matter of knives and guns but she also heard that those goons were also throwing bombs here and there the entire cul de sac was completely destroyed and according to the news report, it will take another ten months to once again turn everything to normal, especially the buildings that were blown off needed to be rebuild.

And all the innocent ones who lost their houses, who knows what the government will do about relocating them for the next ten months. The more Mrs Newman thought about it the more she felt that what happened wasn't just unfortunate but also really unfair. " I must say, why is it that those innocent citizens like us are the ones who are suffering why not those underworld men who created this ruckus? I heard that they were trying to catch someone by baiting that person, if what the news report told was the truth then I don't see the point why they have to blow up things? Unless they were doing it for fun!"

When Nick heard his mother, he suddenly remembered the time when the goon pressed the gun on the back of his head, didn't that thug say that he got the guy he was looking for after misunderstanding him?

Mrs Newman noticed that her son was unusually silent and thought that he was after all scared because of what happened and smoothed her voice making it soft. " Ah, Nicky … if you are really not feeling alright.. then maybe you should go back to the hospital and stay the night?"

Nick shook his head as he walked to his family car that was parked in the lot and calmly said, " You know I hate hospitals, mum." And there wasn't anything wrong with him either, he only twisted his ankle and nothing more but compared to him the woman who saved him, his eyes turned dark as he thought about how to hurt that blonde angel looking woman was, he turned around to ask his mother but then timely closed his mouth.

If he asked his mum about that woman, and his mother took his gratitude for something else then she might create big havoc in the hospital looking for that woman. Though he will admit that he liked the aesthetics of that woman, it was more of an appreciation since she was the most good looking woman he has ever seen, as for marrying her—-

He shook his head, though he was grateful that she saved him… and he did have a bit of interest in her —— he had no idea about her, and marriage was a question of a lifetime he wasn't going to just rush in and charge straight up ahead without knowing that woman well and everything including her background.

" So, you are saying that hamster looking guy who doesn't look like he can even lift a fifty-kilo weight, is your type?"

Vanessa tried really hard not to squirm under that watchful, blaming gaze of her brother. It shouldn't have been possible for Derren to get even scarier than he already was but surprisingly the menacing and imposing air that was throbbing out of his skin was enough to make her look anywhere but him.

" I mean, he isn't that bad," said Vanessa twiddling her fingers. " And more importantly he is cute."

" Cute? Cute? Cute????" repeated Derren with an incredible expression of disbelief on his face, he threw a look over his shoulder at Charity who shook her head in an ' I don't understand this any better than you' way. Derren rolled his eyes, sagged his shoulders and pinched the space between his eyes. " you mean to say, that after all this time of rejecting so many proposals that I have looked for you, you fell for a guy who is just cute? Am I right?"

Vanessa swallowed and tried to smile awkwardly. " Yeah is it wrong?" As soon as she said that Derren was right in her face as he poked her cheek and snapped, " Wrong? Oh no, nothing is wrong, Miss Blake… I just for the love of God would love to know that---why is it that if you wanted to do nothing but fell in love with a mousey mouse type of guy, why did you say that superman doesn't fit the bill huh? huh? Let me tell you that superman does not trip in the middle of a run when he is trying to save his life and he sure as hell doesn't need to be carried around by a woman in a princess carry!"

She pushed his face away from hers and took a deep breath since she couldn't do it with him snapping and yapping in her face. " Alright, I get it. Now, what am I supposed to do? I already felt the Zing that snapped my heart in place and I think I really adore that guy." While speaking her face took a dreamy look as she blinked her eyes at her brother who shot her a deadpanned look.

" I don't know how to break this to you, Nessie," said Derren in a soft, slow and patient voice that he hardly used as he brought his hand together like he was praying and wriggled his fingers. " But we are not living in a damn princess movie! What do you mean Zing and Ping? That guy who knows where the damn he is in? Maybe he lives on the other end of this city or maybe in hell, I don't care but you gotta be kidding me! He looks like a woman! WOMAN! I refuse to have a brother in law, that looks more like a sister in law."

Vanessa narrowed her eyes dangerously. " Then I refuse to get married!"

The two siblings glared at each other before Derren took out his cellphone again and called Nolan. " Yeah, it's me I want you to find out everything about that guy, Nessie saved today. Uh-huh, yeah something like that..oh is that crazy ?" Then he shot a nasty look at Vanessa and added, " Well not too much since that the guy has more charm than superman."
