New Friend Group

Mo Xing just nodded and said "ok" but in reality was a bit excited since she had no one to practice with. All her family was busy and her family's trusted butler is in his 40s, although can still practice with her, was busy with his duties most of the time so he could not practice often with her.

"Next question~ where did you study abroad? Since you Chinese , why not study in China instead?" Xiu Ying asked, forgetting it was one question at a time.

Mo Xing didn't mind but still said, "That is two questions but I study abroad as I was born in England. So here is your answer to both your questions."

"If you were born in England, why come here to study then?" Mingyu asked, curious about why someone who stayed abroad all of a sudden came to China.

"Well because of my father I will be here studying" Mo Xing said, leaving out the fact that she was not sure if she would stay all three years here or move back but because they were not very close at the time she did not feel the need to speak about the hidden fact. Never did she think she would become very close with any of them which she might regret in the future.

"I have a question, how old are yo- ow!" Mingyu wanted to ask but was hit on the head by Noah.

"Hey Noah, why did you hit me?!" Mingyu whined and complained while rubbing his head.

"Idiot, it's not nice to ask others their age!" Noah scolded with a displeased face.

"Whatever, hmph!" Mingyu harrumphed and turned his head away childishly.

Mingyu: Oi! I heard you!

Author Li: Good! Ben dan. Hmph.

Mingyu: whatever

*looks at each other and turns their head away at the same time* "Hmph!"

"Well, I don't really care if you ask but I am almost 15 this year, how about you guys then?" Mo Xing said calmly.

"Well I am 16, almost 17, Longwei is 17, almost 18, and Yang & Noah are both 18! Oh, and I skipped a grade but Xiu Ying didn't because she didn't want to for some reason" Mingyu said and shrugged after.

"Well I wanted to see what each year is like because trips and experiences differ in each grade!" Xiu Ying said to defend herself.

"Yea yea whatever" Mingyu said then ruffled Xiu Ying's hair which made Xiu Ying slap his hand away while glaring.

Mo Xing also noticed Yang and Noah's death glare towards Mingyu and thought, 'this idiot really doesn't get the hints huh? The guys there clearly don't like him being so close but he still doesn't get the hint. What a dense guy'

"Oh I do have a question, Noah Cheng you do not seem fully Chinese, are you a mix?" Mo Xing asked with slight curiosity since she hasn't seen many mixed races while in China (not that she was here that long).

"Yes, my mom is British which is why I may not look fully Chinese and have an English name." Noah replied calmly, giving off a calm and gentle aura, something contrasting with how he smacked Mingyu on his head.

"I see" Mo Xing responded back calmly as well while nodding.

Longwei, who has been silent for a while, asked Mo Xing a question out of curiosity, "Your name means star right?"

"Yes it does, yours is dragon greatness." Mo Xing said, instead of asking a question she said it like a statement as she already knew.

"Oh what a nice name Xing!" Xiu Ying exclaimed.

"Thank you Xiu Ying" Mo Xing said back while nodding her head.

All this time while everyone was speaking, they also were eating when they could, with Yang being the quietest as he was not interested in what they were doing. His only interest at the moment was playing with Xiu Ying's hair.

"Ah, Xing, why don't you finish eating then we can all head to our secret hangout spot? Seeing how your personality might match with the boys here (even mine) you'll love the spot! It's very peaceful and quiet plus no one else goes there!" Xiu Ying said excitedly

"Hm, sure, well I am done anyways, why not show me this place?" Mo Xing said, picking up her tray and standing up to throw away the trash.

"Ok, boys hurry up so we can go to our spot!" Xiu Ying said

Although on the surface it looks like the group (excluding Mo Xing) was very friendly to new students and accepted new friends easily, the truth was, these heirs and heiress do not trust people easily because of their birth. However, this group can sense and see Mo Xing was different from the others, she had grace, elegance, smartness, and calmness one sees from the wealthier like in their families but not only that, after years of reading people, this group of friends can see she is genuine and not someone after their fame and money. If anything, her family in England may very well be on the same level as their own.

All the guys just nodded, quietly followed Xiu Ying's order, except Mingyu of course who still kept talking.

"Hey Xing, let's go! I will show you the way over!" Mingyu said with his ever so hyper voice

Mo Xing just nodded and followed everyone. While Mingyu was being a chatterbox, everyone either nodded their heads or said nothing and let it be since they were used to him.

Mo Xing on the other hand thought of him to be slightly annoying if not for the fact he actually had some intellect otherwise she would have already made him shut up.

Soon enough, to everyone's ears' relief, they arrived at the hangout spot that, though unspoken, had been named their territory and no one out of the group and anyone they approved of went to. In the very very very near future Mo Xing would officially become part of the group as well. It will also mark the start of two couples in the group and two singles, namely Noah and Mingyu. It will also be the start of friendship, romance, and despair in this group.

"Star, what do you think about this?" Xiu Ying naturally started giving Mo Xing the nickname star.

The area was in a quiet place under a big tree providing shade in a corner on the big field of the school. The area was very pleasant with the wind lightly blowing and the air was clear with the sun in the sky not shining too harshly, just enough to light up the area but not enough to make the temperature scorching.

"I like it, it's quiet" Mo Xing, not too close with the others yet replied in a concise manner. The others did not mind however because she is actually considered warmer than the other guys, with Minyu as an exception.

(Author Li: as always *ahem ahem*

Mingyu: *glares at author*)

"Xing, would you like to come with us after school today? We are going to Xiu Ying's house today to practice [martial arts]." Mingyu invited Xing.

Mingyu, although a chatterbox, still is an intelligent person, at least academically. His biggest flaw was once he became very close friends with people (though it's only the other 4) his EQ drops for some reason because normally he has a high IQ and EQ (normally). He can tell by reading Xing she wasn't like the others who only want to befriend them for connection benefits so that is why he lowered his guard (though not fully) and invited her.
