Chapter 38: Go see the Sun

It’s empty.

She stares at the door, nothing in her gaze. She’s waiting but she doesn’t know what for anymore.

There’s a gaping hole in her heart, and she’s sure there used to be something that fit right there. But where is it?

She doesn’t remember anymore.

In the corner, a pair of dead eyes stare at her. She hates looking at it. She wishes it would disappear.

But it’s always there.

In a room with no windows, the only exit is only one door. She remembers the first day how she’d banged on it, the burning silver peeling the skin off her hands. She remembers how by the second day, she’d given up.

It’s painful, to be trapped like a bug in a jar. She knows someone is watching her, someone is waiting for her to do something interesting. She doesn’t know what they want from her.

But at least she’s not alone.

“Eh?” the man with her shrugs his shoulder, leaning against the wall, “That’s debatable.”
