Trigger Points

"Thank you, too, for staying with Feline when I'm not around," Sean went on. He saw him walking past ahead of them, turning his heel around to go home. Sean sighed, crouching down.

"Let's go home, Feline." Sean gripped the bottle from her palms and hitched it away. He placed it at the top of the table, draping her hands on his shoulders. Sean carried her in a bridal style, and he couldn't forget how she weighed like a sack of rice. Feline flailed her head in his chest, and she got surprised by its scent. She knew the one carrying her wasn't Louie.

It was Sean. She sniffed as her eyes remained closed. The scent wafted through her nostrils. Feline snuggled her head in his right shoulder as Sean halted, feeling the warmth in her presence. Sean knew there might be a reason Feline wanted to be drunk.
