THE FIGHT

Gia and I went to have lunch but unfortunately for Gia we met Jake on our way to the cafeteria and I had to keep my word of showing him around the school.

Gia looked annoyed when she walked off, I will just make it up to her later. Well Jake was not a bad guy and to make things more better he sings. His voice was heaven, I had him sing me one or two songs while I showed him around.

We were both having fun until Dax decided to show up and spoil everything for me. I nearly killed him if not for the sake of God.

"Brianna, where have you been?"

"I have been here" I replied him, I hate the look he was giving Jake who didn't understand what was going on.

"So who is your friend?" He asked referring to Jake.

"Hi, am Jake" Jake said giving Dax his hand for a handshake which he took but not with a friendly look at all.

"If that is all Dax can you leave am kind of busy right here" I told him with a forced smile.

"Is not all I haven't even introduce myself, my name is Dax I am Brianna's brother" he said and I nearly choked on my own saliva.

Did he just say he is my brother? At that minute I knew this was Eric's doing. Just when I thought I could go a week without Eric but instead he left me a present which is Dax.

"Jake can you excuse me for some minutes?"

"Yeah, sure" I dragged Dax and took him to the side.

"What is wrong with you, my brother, really? Since when am I related to you?"

"Since you decided to go against your brother, who is he?"

"Eeeem that is none of your business" how dare him think he can just make a decision for me, who does he think he is?

"Sorry baby girl but it is my business, your brother left you in my care and I don't want to fail him" he said coming close to me while I backed away.

"I don't care what your promise is with my brother just mind your own fucking business" I told him looking him straight in the eyes. I was surprised when he drawed even more closer to me.

Which left his chest on my face, I never knew this guy is this tall until now. Just when I thought he was done he bent down to my height leaving our face few meters away from each other, I could feel his breath on my face.

"You are my fucking business, now I will suggest you go back to class or I will carry you myself"

"First I own myself, I move myself anywhere I want to, you are not the boss of me"

"Secondly?" He asked

"You wouldn't dare lay your hands on me or I will show you the true me, mind your own business!" I said right to his face then pushed pass him and walked away.

I went back to Jake as we continued our conversation. Let see what he can do, is like Eric didn't tell him about me and how crazy I can be.

Dax's POV

I can't believe she just said that and walked out on me, Eric was right Brianna is a handful. I wouldn't have bothered her if she was talking to a reasonable guy but it was Jake of all people.

I don't know why that idiot followed me to FREEDOM HIGH but am going to make sure I give him exactly what he is looking for.

I walked up to Brianna and carried her up putting her on my shoulders, there is no way am allowing her anywhere close to that guy, he is worst than I am and for some reason he has been holding grudges on me.

"What are you doing? Put me down you bag of sand!!" She said while struggling to push me away.

"You better hold still, I don't want you anywhere close to that guy"

"Who do you think you are to tell me what to do?"

I carried her all the way from the school cafeteria to her class. This got a lot of students whispering while others were taking photos or videos of us. Immediately I got to her class I put her down and i received a slap.

"How dare you, who the heck do you think you are to do that?"

"Brianna I am responsible for you until Eric is back and out of all the guys in this school why him?"

"I still don't understand why it is your business, this is my life and I do whatever i want with it"

"You don't know what you want Brianna and also you are playing with fire"

"Oh really I will like to see that fire because am water, I do know you have seen a storm before right, that is what I am and I will like to see that fire that can stand a storm like me so stay out of my way and business"

"Fine, I will stay clear but don't ever talk to that Jake guy again"

"Like I said before you are not the boss of me" she said and stormed off. How do I warn her against Jake, he is not a good guy at all. Why do you have to be so stubborn Brianna?

If I can't convince you about him then I guess is time to meet Jake himself. I went in search of him and found him in the garden, he stood like he was waiting for someone.

"Is high time you join me" he said without even looking back to check who was behind him, so he was expecting me.

"What the heck do you think you are doing here?"

"Nothing much just came to surprise you"

"I don't care what you want but leave her out of this she has nothing to do with this"

"Hmm, seeing the way you are protecting her she must be very special to you. Since when did you start protecting girls, I thought they were trash like your mother"

Immediately he mention my mum I felt anger boiling inside me, so he did a background check up on me, what a nice move.

"You better know what comes out of that mouth of yours or else....."

"Or else what Dax, what are you going to do because you have done it all when you did what you did to my sister"

"I have told you severally I don't know what happened to your sister but you keep placing the blame of me while the real criminals are out having fun and exploring the world"

"I keep wondering until when you will stop lying because I am so getting back to you for what you did to her"

"For crying out loud I did nothing to your sister so you leave Brianna out of this you coward"

"Hmm, seeing the way you protect her she must be different from your mother but don't worry I will help you protect her"

"If you lay a hand on her am going to break you even if it is the last thing I do"

"You can't do anything to me, speaking of which she is so innocent and unaware about the world. Breaking her won't be that hard, is that why you are protecting her because is so pure and unripped?

Don't worry I will help you ripe her, she is so easy to convince"

I couldn't control myself anymore, I rushed towards him and pushed him against the wall. Before I knew it we were both showering each other with punches.

Brianna's POV

I can't believe he did that, which face am I going to use to face Jake now? I groaned in anger, I was trying to control myself. I guess I didn't slap him hard enough.

"Brianna what is going on?"

"Gia where have you been?"

"I went to the library to check one or two things until I started hearing the students talking about your hot arguement with Dax"

"I can't believe the news is already around the school, it hasn't even been up to ten minutes"

"So you did argue with Dax, did you also slap him?"

"He was getting on my nerves"

"What happened?" Just as I was about to narrate the whole story to Gia a student rushed into the class, he was breathing like someone was chasing him.

"Brianna there is trouble in paradise" he said still breathing hard, Gia and I was surprised of his words.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked him

"Dax and Jake are really about to kill each other in the school garden"

"What!!!?" Gia screamed but I didn't have the time to deal with that, I rushed out of the class and ran to the school garden only to find Dax punching the hell out of Jake's face.

"Dax!, what on earth are you doing?" I asked and pushed him off Jake who was helplessly trapped underneath him.

When I helped him up his mouth was covered with blood, I was so speechless. I angrily marched to Dax waiting for him to give me the perfect explanation why he had to fight with Jake.

"What is wrong with you? I thought I told you to mind your own business"

"Brianna you don't know the shit you are getting yourself...."

"I don't want to hear it Dax, enough with all this nonsense. Enough with you and Eric treating me like am some ten years old"

"Brianna this is not about how you are treated, since you claim not to be a child why don't you stop acting like one and think like a grown up you claim to be"

His words felt like I was stabbed in the back, how dare him say that to me? I looked around us only to find out that a small crowd has gathered around us.

"Look who is talking, who are you to talk to me about being a grown up. What about you that goes every fucking week dumping girls like they are some trash you pick off the street.

Don't ever tell me to grow up again because you are more of a child than I am, no reasonable grown up goes around acting like a freak!" I said breathing hard trying to control my temper.

But immediately those words left my mouth I regretted it, just staring at his blue eyes I could tell my words affected him. It was only then I noticed his bleeding noise and mouth.

I turned around and grabbed Jake's hand and lead him into the school clinic where I cleaned his wounds and had it covered up.

"Jake, am so sorry about Dax, he was only trying to protect me" I said to him breaking the silence between us.

"It's okay I understand, I shouldn't have fought with him am sorry"

"No no no you don't need to apologize, I should be the one apologizing to you"

"You don't have to, I better get going today has been a long day"

"Yeah, I will see you tomorrow and ones again am sorry about, everything"

"It's Okay I will see you tomorrow" after he left I felt devastated, Dax injured face kept appearing on my face.

"Oh God, why can't I stop seeing his face?" I groaned in frustration, I got up and grabbed the first aid kit and went in search of Dax.
