Falling Pedals----Part I

You could say that humans are like flowers in a tree, they wither away and fall when it gets too cold, and die when they don't have enough water. Even so, I thought I'd last longer, maybe it was my foolish thinking that I was special. Maybe I only had myself to blame for this, if I had more time...then would I be able to take what was stolen from me? But what was stolen from me...money or was it someone I cared about?

After a couple hours go by I would've thought I'd be dead by now but I was able to open my eyes to the sun glaring down at me. I slowly sat myself up by a rock that laid next to me and quickly placed my hand over the wound on my right hip. My blood created small streams thick enough for a fairy to swim in. I sat there in confusion as time went by, trying to recollect what had happened to me. However my time reminiscing was cut short after a musher stopped in front of me. His relaxed eyes gave off a trusting aura so I didn't struggle as he lifted me from the ground. In a steady voice he asked for my name. The musher approached me and asked if I was alright but before I could respond, he lifted me up and sat me down in the brushbow while the dogs barked at me. My throat felt as if it was on fire, responding to him would be futile. The musher smiled and told me it was alright and he was willing to wait for me to heal to hear a response. He signaled the dogs to take off. After thirty minutes, we arrived at an odd looking shack that had rose vines intertwined into the layout of the home. The sunset reflected off the mossy water of the broken bird fountain out in front. He lifted me from my shoulders and dragged me against the dirt into the shack. He laid me down on a hay stack on the right side of the stack. As he went outside to look for his medical kit I stared at the cobweb above me. When he returned he pulled up a stool next to me. He warned me that the stitches were going to be painful and handed me a rag to place in my mouth to help cope with the pain.
