Friendship is one thing that is so weird and awkward at some point. Especially when your bestie is an opposite sex.

My name is Jason Harts, AKA, 'The Nerd'....

I got this nickname from my schoolmates. I grew up as a quite lonely guy, never had any interest in friendship, love or leisure. Books were my best friends at the moment.

Reading and writing was all part of my daily life. I guess you now know why that name was given to me. Surpassing others on tests was also my thing.

Though being alone was good for me, sometimes my boredomness would strike me to hell. At times, I used to think that my body never had any kind of feelings or sexual emotions. No girl had ever got my interest nor moved my hormones in any way...'Weird right?' This made me start to wonder if I was an already dead organism, ready to be put into my grave..... Awkward....

It was not until during my 9th grade that I went to American International School of Lusaka, a co-sex school full of different people of different races. I loved being at that school, but my mundane life was still hitting me so much...At this school, I tried to get myself into clubs and different extracurricular activities. This taught me to at least interact with different people, but my lonesome culture still existed in me...I guess I just loved being alone, including in class...

One day, as usual, sitted alone in class, on my desk when a cute new girl in school had transferred to our class. I was one of the Front benchers in class. We were just having our Biology lesson, when she knocked at the class door....

Knock knock....."Morning madam, my name is Alicia and I've just transferred here", she said...

"Oh, ok.... please take a seat" our teacher replied. This girl was...

Wooooooww!!!!

This was the first time I ever got attracted by a girl. Alicia was just so extra ordinary.

She was a beautiful mystery, stunning, glamorous, jaw-dropping, elegant, divine, heart-stopping, overwhelming, luxuriant and so much more ...her eyes sparkled....

As she took her way in the class, trying to look for where she could sit. To my surprise, she was heading towards my desk where I was sitted alone.....OH MY GOSH.....This made my nerves activate like a series of electric current flowing through my body.

"Oh Boy...this is gonna be a mess"...I said to myself. Am not Mr. Romeo, nor do I have any kind of sense of humor...I got so nervous....

can u imagine that?

I was such a terrible guy. I couldn't Even reply to a simple greeting coz if I did, I'd develop 'Num-tongue', and stammer. This got me more than 'nervous' the word itself. Then suddenly, only to see Alicia sitted on my desk, and said 'Hi, do u mind?'....

She had that catchy smile, so infectious and lights up everyone.

I was speechless

My body sweated like never before

H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h....

I stammered....
