Quests pt.02

"Miss. I got something for you." She got down, running to her bag, in less than a minute she came back running holding an envelope.

"This is for you." She handed me the envelope smiling at me, showing her missing tooth. "Thank you little girl."

"My name is Serena, and you're welcome!" She beamed happily as she jumped a bit in her place. "Nice to meet you Serena." Smiling, I scooted down to her height, giving her my hand to shake. She shook my hand getting shy for a bit.

"Your boyfriend did the same thing." She laughed clapping her hands.

"What do you mean?" What boyfriend is she talking about?

"They guy that gave me the letter. He also told me 'nice to meet you Serena' and shook my hand." She mimicked laughing a bit between a few words.

He is not my-

"Serena, calm down." Her father laughed at his agitated daughter. "I'm sorry for that." He must have noticed my awkward face when she talked about Mark. I smiled telling him it's totally okay.

Few minutes later, I left opening the letter.

***Quest 6: Take a break and get some lunch. The seventh quest is under your door mat. ***

I glanced at the clock on my phone to see that it was already 1.30 p.m. I walked enough today, so I took a cab back to the restaurant right next the building. I took a chicken burger with fries and a coke, along half a dozen of nuggets. Back home, I took the envelope heading inside to eat.

***Quest 7: He is a semi-god, 00:57:14 – 00:59:02 ***

Easy. I searched for the movie cd, grabbing my laptop from my bed and sat at the couch in my living room. "Ugh, I'm hungry." I grabbed a piece of chicken nuggets, dipping it in ketchup.

"Okay… slide... 40…49…51…57 okay… 14 seconds... here we go."

*** "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." "Nonsense. I heard you crying."

"A silly nightmare."***

Just like what happened when I had a nightmare last time. I watched carefully as he hugged her and helped her through the aftermath of the nightmare. Then, for some reason the next scene seemed all new to me, as if I haven't watched this movie before. Like this, they kissed-

Like this, my face flushed red remembering last time.

And like this, the 2 minutes have passed.

I pondered over this quest for a couple of minutes, cheeks still flashing a crimson red color. I glanced over to the sofa where we were seated last time. Puzzled, I walked over to it, looking through the pillows and all. There I found another letter. How did he managed to put it in here?

These quests are getting easier, I laughed opening the pastel yellow envelope that was in my hand.

***Quest 8

: Call the number on the back of the card : ) ***

I searched my bag for my phone, dialing the number without thinking much of it. After two rings, a female's voice greeted me.

"Hello?" A familiar voice.

"Um hi.This is Everly-"

"Everly!" She cut me off sounding excited. Iris?

"Everly, this is me Iris. Finally you called, I've been waiting for your call since the morning. Wait a minute." She laughed. It sound like she's searching through some stuff. "Okay fount it." She exclaimed giggling again.

"On what quest are you know?" "Eighth"

"Ah that's good. Okay so- um... This one will be a riddle, when you get the right answer, I'll give you your ninth quest."

I mumbled an okay, preparing myself to answer the so called riddle.

"What can't talk but will reply when spoken to?"
