Nobody speaks a word when Eli and Nell step into the hall.
All the members of the family are sitting at the same spot. Nell takes the seat between Duke Balthier and Eli, sitting on the same seat where Nilora used to sit.
Nell glances at Belinda, creasing her forehead. Devil Cat's tail is popping out of Belinda's sleeve. Belinda places her finger on her lips and shakes her head, signalling to her to remain quiet.
It's hard to believe that the cat has a piece of her soul. Nell decides not to think much about it. The cat can do whatever it wants. She doesn't want it to come back inside her head ever again. The cat had spoken much dark stuff to her. The worst part is that the cat was largely affected by her thoughts. Her negative thoughts can turn this cat darker. They need space from each other to become who they are.
