Wake Up Call

The next day they all got ready to go for the next test.Chris wanted to go alone but Dr.Mason announced that it was a team test.Chris knew he was doing it on purpose to get Chris uncomfortable.Needless to say he accepted it and they all got everything they needed and were ready to go.

Abraham:"Are you ready Jack?"

Jack:"Yeah.What about you Sarah?"

Sarah:"Yeah! Crystal,you got everything?"

Crystal:"Yeah."

Chris walks upto them.

Chris:"Who are these two?"

Jack:"They were part of the group I was in during the first test.Needless to say we're good friends."

Chris:"Alright."

In total there were 10 kids participating Chris,Jack,Jack's friends,Meghan and four other kids.Two kids opened the door and as soon as they did they were shot by two men outside.

Crystal:"NO!!"

Chris:"Shit! They're here already?!

Jack:"Has the test started already?!"

Dr.Mason came back on the speaker.

Speaker:"Hehe.Did you forget Chris? I said that from here on out the tests will be more difficult but it still havent started yet.You need to get through them to get to the test."

Chris:"Are you kidding me?!"

Speaker:"You kids have been getting too comfortable lately and thats not good.We need to spice things up a bit.Get a bit of fear going you know what I mean!"

Chris:"Now I wish I blew your brains out in that room."

Speaker:"You can always change your mind Chris.Remember their fate is in your hands."

Chris:"I dont have time for this!"

Chris grabs a cloth and a beer bottle.He lights it on fire to make some molotov cocktails.He passes one to Jack.

Chris:"Crystal.When I say go you and Sarah open the door just enough to throw the molotovs out.As soon as we do they will stop shooting for a second.In that time we need to shoot them!"

Crystal:"We dont have guns!"

He pulls out the guns he took from the workshop and gave one to each of them.

Chris:"Ready?!

2...

1...

Now!!"

They opened the door just enough and Chris and Jack threw the molotovs.It almost hit them but they stopped shooting and moved back.Crystal and Sarah opens the door fully and they all fire the guns at them.The bullets hit the two men and they died.

Sarah:"We did it!"

Abraham:"That was close."

Crystal:"I cant believe we made it!"

Jack puts his hand on Chris's shoulder.

Jack:"You really are something else Chris."

Chris:"The fact that it was this difficult and we havent even started the test is worrying."

Jack:"Yeah.He wasnt lying when he said it will get more difficult."

Dr.Mason came back on the speaker.

Speaker:"You are something else Chris Johnson.Its almost like we cant kill you at all.Anyway,this is a wake up call for all of you to try not to get too comfortable because this is just the beginning.The worst has yet to come."

Crystal:"Thanks for ruining the mood."

Speaker:"Your very welcome madam.If you'd like I can make things much worse if necessary."

Crystal:"Oh yeah?! How so?"

Speaker:"Oh you'll find out soon enough."

Dr.Mason starts laughing before his voice cuts off.

They walk down the hallway to the next test.While they were walking they chatted for a bit.Meghan walked beside Chris.

Meghan:"I-im sorry."

Chris:"For what?"

Meghan:"For not defending you yesterday.I know you must've been hurt."

Chris:"I've felt worse."

Meghan:"How can I make it upto you?"

Chris:"Its fine.I dont care about anyone here anyway."

Meghan:"N-No one?"

Chris:"No one."

Meghan went silent.

Chris:(Whats your deal? I cant tell rather you like me or want something from me.)

They reach the tests location.

Speaker:"Welcome everyone.Your new test is a maze.You all have to find an item in the maze.You all will be in teams of two and you must find one of these items.When you get one you can get out.Its that simple."

Chris:"Whats the catch? There hasnt been a single non lethal test so far so why did you suddenly choose one now?"

Speaker:"I never said it was not lethal.Anyway in the box next to you is a card with each of your names on it.Take your names out and it has inside what you need to find."

They each grabbed their names and saw that they had to get things like keys,clothes,toys and Chris pulled his card out of the box.He opens it and was surprised.

Jack:"So what do you have to get Chris?"

Chris:"I...dont know"

Chris Johnson

You'll know when you find it.

Jack:"What?"

Chris:"Mason! What the hell is this?!"

Speaker:"That's Doctor. Mason to you. Its your item you need to get."

Chris:"There's nothing here!"

Speaker:"The hint is right there. Read the words carefully. Everything you find make sure to keep repeating that sentence over and over and then you'll understand."

Chris:"Why do you have to make things difficult for me?!"

Speaker:"Lets go. The test starts now."

They each went in teams of two. Chris with Meghan,Jack with Crystal,Abraham with Sarah and the last two boys as their team. They head into the maze.

Chris and Meghan walk into the maze while Chris just stares at his card Meghan is trying to break the ice.

Meghan:"Soo....How are you?"

Chris:"Good."

Chris didn't even look at her when he answered.

Meghan:"Don't you know its rude to answer without looking?"

Chris:"Is being polite more important then living?

Meghan:"No.."

Chris:"Then I don't care."

Meghan:"Can't we just talk?!"

Chris got annoyed with her constant talking

Chris:"What the hell do you want from me?!"

Meghan:"I want you to talk to me!"

Chris:"I have to focus. I dont have time for socializing."

Meghan:"No wonder you don't have a girlfriend."

Chris:"I'm not doing this because I want to.Im doing what's necessary to survive. Socializing is second priority to survival."

Meghan:"Tsk.Fine."

Meghan starts walking faster and she didn't notice an axe head coming her way. Chris barely managed to push her out of the way but he cut his shoulder in the process.

Chris:"Becareful!"

Meghan:"R-Right."

Chris helps her up

Meghan:"T-Thanks."

Chris:"Move it and keep your eyes open I can't protect you forever."

They keep walking past traps, balancing strings, etc. They keep moving when Meghan finally found her item.

Meghan:"Oh my god! I found it! Its the dolls head I need!"

Chris:"Nice."

Chris is looking at a ledge looking for what he's suppose to find.

Chris:(I keep repeating the sentence over and over but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to find.)

He suddenly feels some hands on his back and he was pushed off the ledge. He gets a glimpse and see's Meghan with a smile on her face.

Chris:"Meghan?! You bitch!"
