Prologue : The Birth of "Naruto" [Edited]

0.5 - Prologue:

The narrative of every individual begins in a rather typical manner, albeit with its unique variations. However, according to popular consensus, real life stories often commence with a person's birth, and the story of Naruto is no exception.

A story passed through generations, this one begins on a cold and fresh autumn night of October 10th, where four midwives with the 4th Hokage Minato Namikaze and his wife, Kushina Uzumaki, awaited the birth of their first child, Naruto, at a hidden location.

Little did they know that this would be their first and only child, and they would not live to see him grow up. The evening of Naruto's birth was marred with fate's cruelty and tragedy, which none of the occupants in the room knew but would profoundly affect their lives.

Upon the baby's birth, the attention was caught by the striking blue eyes of the infant, appearing to be the epitome of celestial purity in the tiny body. The appearance seemed to captivate and mesmerize everyone present, making the sight of the baby's tears all the more heart-wrenching.

The child was promptly placed on its mother's chest by Minato, who seemed to approach her tenderly, but their tranquil moment was interrupted by an unwelcome figure from the past, putting the infant's life at risk. The situation led to a scuffle in which Minato was able to rescue Naruto, but Kushina was taken captive.

Minato went on to bring Naruto to a small dwelling far from the village, unaware of the gravity of the calamitous events taking place outside. As he lay sleeping, his mother was also brought to the cottage, and even at that tender age, Naruto sensed her discomfort and thought, "She's cold, I'm cold, why is she sad?" With the prows of his eyes he had the sensing emotions ability just after his birth.

Kushina experienced feelings of guilt and anguish for her perceived shortcomings as a wife, a mother, and a Jinchuriki, knowing that she would never get to see Naruto grow up and blaming herself.

She chose to blame herself for leaving her child behind at the cusp of life and for not somehow stopping the Nine-tails from being removed and causing havoc.

The emotional distress she was experiencing had her feeling a simultaneous desire for both life and death.

To live for those she loved and to die for her shame but all she could do was cuddle the tiny body, that once had been a part of her, offering what little comfort she had been denied.

It was quiet. No, there were sounds in the distance. The cacophony of war, the smell of smoke, blood, and sweat. The smell only grew more intense.

There was a charge in the air as if lightning was about to strike and suddenly it did. An explosion that blew the house away.

Minato faced a difficult decision and ultimately chose to teleport the tailed beast back to their original location. He teleported the beast to his mountain house where he had placed Naruto and Kushina, to prevent the Nine-tails from causing more destruction in the village. The destruction caused by the beast just after being teleported here was extensive, resulting in the obliteration of the house and all its contents.

In a display of maternal instinct, Kushina shielded Naruto with her body as they were sent flying through the air. Upon impact, she landed on her back and then rolled along the ground.

The initial concern of the woman was to ensure the well-being of Naruto, who was indeed fine, but Kushina, on the contrary, felt as though at least two of her ribs were fractured, and the others were bruised.

Despite her injuries, she found a suitable location for Naruto and then proceeded to engage in combat.

Minato and Kushina fought valiantly, using every ounce of their strength and skill to defend their son and the village. Despite their unwavering determination and courage, they were no match for the overwhelming power of the beast.

In a devastating turn of events, Minato and Kushina were mortally wounded in the battle. Minato, left with no other options, realized he only had one choice, and that was to seal the Nine-tails away again.

Kushina suggested, "Yes, seal the Nine-tails inside me. I'm going to die anyway. Let me take the Nine-tails with me."

Minato rejected the idea, explaining that letting the Nine-tails be taken with Kushina would mean an imbalance in nature.

Minato realized the only option he had was to seal the Nine-tails inside their newborn child. But that would mean that Naruto would have to live his life with a beast inside him.

Kushina and Minato knew what the life of a Jinchuriki was like and how the villagers treated Jinchurikis. Considering their son would grow up without parents and endure the pain of being a Jinchuriki, they hesitated for a moment.

However, Minato believed in Naruto. He felt Naruto could become the hero of the village and save it. Minato then started to perform the reaper death seal.

Furthermore, he was going to seal only half of the Nine-tails inside Naruto, because it was practically impossible to seal away such a large volume of power inside a newborn child and its tiny body.

Minato sealed the Nine-Tails' Yang half into Naruto and added his and Kushina's chakra to the seal.

Minato's chakra would activate if the seal was about to break, allowing him to restore it. Kushina's chakra would help Naruto learn to control the Nine-Tails and its chakra.

At this moment, seeing the Shinigami, the Nine-tails knew that it was once again being trapped inside a human body. The Nine-tails tried to attack the child it was being sealed inside.

But at the last moment, Kushina and Minato took the attack of the Nine-tails, saving Naruto.

Minato used the Reaper Death Seal to seal half of the Nine-Tailed Fox inside himself and half inside Naruto.

The Reaper Death Seal involves sealing someone's soul within the belly of the Shinigami, but the caster also has to submit their own soul to the Shinigami. That's what happens. The Shinigami took the soul of Minato.

The child lying there alone. For this child, winter had come early, and with it, the bitter winds that finished off what little life Autumn had spared.

There was fighting and the sound of chains, the sound of death moving through the forest to answer the siren call of hand signs and the flow of chakra. A growl and a cry, he felt the warmth of his parents' blood dripping on his little chest, and for that moment time stopped. Reality had offered them a brief respite.

Naruto heard the words of his parents. What were they saying? He could hardly make sense of it, but he didn't need to. Their words carried with them their hearts, and that brought Naruto peace. But this time would not last forever.

Time resumed, and suddenly Naruto felt as if he had been punched in the stomach. His body was being invaded by the malevolent force of a ravenous beast.

That threatened to rip him apart, but within his very soul, two lights shone, and those two lights fought a secondary, smaller battle. One to force dominion over the beast into the hands of the baby, to put the keys to the cage of destruction into his hand. And with that, the world returned to balance.

He was already learning life's hardest lesson. Sadly, for this child, this was but the beginning of the tribulations.

Hiruzen would find the baby and lift him into his arms. The child of the late Kushina Uzumaki and the fourth Hokage, the legendary Minato Namikaze.

He was so weak that he could hardly shiver in his arms anymore. He needed to find help and to that end, he brought Naruto to the Konoha hospital to rest, vowing to his parents that he would not leave Naruto to die in the gutters, and he kept his word.

[A.T: I know I didn't need to write his birth incidents and describe it like this, but I did it anyway, just to show how his eyes work and how, even as a child, Naruto could understand most things and feel others because of his eyes. Anyway, the main story starts in the next episode. I think tomorrow for sure! Show some love to the author. This is my first attempt at writing, so there can be mistakes. I apologize in advance. Positive criticism is welcome.]
