Twelve

I got back to the castle and most people didn't question me, it was already dark, and it was time for me to prepare for what I was going to do. Kill Izzy. Then I went into my room.

I pulled the blade out from under my shirt and crossed the room to slip it behind the bed, where the mattress and frame meet. I only hoped I could reach it when I needed it.

When my weapon was in place I went to the shower and took as much time as possible before getting out, I simply got dressed and went to lie down on my bed, then a few minutes later someone knocked on my door which I opened quickly.

"You're ready for what's about to happen to you, sweetheart," Izzy said with a naughty smile.

She led us to the bed, and as I slipped into the covers, Izzy's mouth moved from mine to my neck. Her teeth grazed my skin, and I went rigid. Frustration divided me, part of me imagining it was Jade, but I hated that part of me for thinking that while I was with Izzy. But Izzy was now my enemy and I had to get rid of her.

Izzy kissed my body once more, tongue slipping, teeth scraping, and when her face came close to mine, I took my blade and thrust it into her side. She grunted. It was a sound I didn't expect to hear.

She quickly turned and tore the dagger from her flesh. Blood gushed from the wound, and she looked at me, her eyes full of anger and lust. She returned her attention to the blade and snarled again, throwing it across the room. It crashed to the stone floor.

"Oh, Lilith, you'll regret this."

She tried to stand up, but eventually fell back down, losing too much blood to get up.

" Mother, I need your help. Quick, I need your help," she cried with all her might.

The glass in my bedroom window shattered, spilling pieces of glass all over the floor. I looked up and saw that Jade was really there.

"You, what are you doing here, you traitor," she managed to say as blood spurted from her mouth.

"I'm here to get back what you tried to steal from me, little sister." Jade came and took me in her arms before starting to run away, then before leaving when we were still in front of the window Jade stopped.

"Don't you dare touch her again, well it's not like you could. " Jade was confident, she had the right to be because she was superior to Izzy.

"Hold on tight, it's going to be a bit bumpy," she said before jumping over the window.

My room must have been at least 20 meters off the ground, and she had really dared to jump. We arrived on the ground intact, much to my delight.

Jade started to run faster and faster, and I thought she was going to teleport us somewhere else like Izzy, but it seems she can't. She keeps going until we get into the forest again.

"You're not going to teleport us somewhere else, are you?" I hope she'll say yes again.

"I don't have the ability to teleport like Izzy. Don't worry, everything's going to be fine."

I feel a lot less reassured all of a sudden, and we had guards on our backs. We get to her spot and I see that she has drawn a magic circle.

"I've got something even better than that, I've got a teleportation circle, and it'll take us straight to safety away from here.

She jumped into the magic circle, and we were teleported somewhere else, a place I knew too well, it was my kingdom and Mum was there, Lise too, I think they were waiting patiently for us.

"Lilith I missed you so much. "Jade put me down and then Lise jumped into my arms, and she looked like she was crying, and I looked at Mum, and she was crying too.

"I missed you too" I couldn't help but cry too, I had spent 5 months away from them and thought they didn't want me, but I was wrong.

"I don't want to spoil your exciting reunion but it's getting dark and maybe Lilith would like to sleep after all that's happened to her. "

Jade wasn't wrong, I was exhausted and needed a good night's sleep.

"Yes, we can talk in the morning, will you take Lilith back to her room, Lise? "

"Yes, Mum, I'd love to." Lise used to be arrogant, but I really feel that today she is different from before, she seemed to be more mature.

We went up the stairs which I hadn't seen for so long and then I opened the door to my room. Nothing had changed, everything was just as it was before I left and it made me feel so good. I jumped into bed and heard Lise laughing at me.

"May I ask what it is that makes you laugh so much?" she came and sat down next to me.

"Well, it's really nice to see you here again, Lilith, and then I remember how you and the guardian arrived as a couple. "

It's only now that I think about it, but she's not wrong, it's the truth, and it makes me blush a little, but something is bothering me why she called Jade the guardian.

"Why do you call her the guardian?" she doesn't look like one, and I thought my parents didn't like demons.

"Well, she's been here a long time, you know, mom hired her to protect you, she's always been there to protect you and has been since you were a little girl, but it's normal that you didn't realize it, she had to keep her identity a secret and knowing you, you wouldn't have wanted a bodyguard. "

She's not wrong, ever since I was little I've always wanted to be an independent girl, I didn't want to need anyone but myself. But now it's different, I can't handle everything myself.

"I wanted to apologise to you, I behaved badly to you but I must admit I was jealous of you, I felt you were better than me in every way. "

"What? No, you were always the most popular with the boys and you're much prettier than me." I laughed at this, I didn't know she was jealous of me, and yet she had nothing to fear.

"Will you forgive me for all the things I did to you?" for me, I only remember the good things I experienced with her.

"Of course I forgive you, Lise, and you and I are sisters, we can't stay angry all our lives. "

I give her a hug and then the door to my room opens and Lilie, accompanied by Jade, arrives.

"I'll let you get some sleep now Lilith, we'll see you in the morning" she gets up and when she gets to the door she gives me a wink before leaving.

Nothing is going to happen between us, that's the look I gave Lise.

"You've forgotten about Lilie, haven't you Lilith? "

She's right, we were in such a hurry that I forgot about her, and then how did she get here?

"How did you manage to find Lilith so quickly?"

"Well, before Lilie was yours, she came to play with me every day, so it's as if I really owned her." She patted Lilie and then Lilie came to me.

"You're a very bad person for not thinking about Lilie anyway," she sighs.

She's not going to start getting on my nerves but this time I know what I'm going to say to her.

"You said earlier that you came to get what was stolen from you, so that proves that I matter to you. " What are you going to respond at that, I'm proud of myself for that. I give her a malicious look.

"Go to sleep and then I just said that in the heat of the moment to sound cooler. Don't take your dreams for reality."

She puts my blanket on before leaving my room and blowing out the candle that lights the room. Then I watch her leave my room and close the door and finally Lilie comes to join me.

"She probably likes me a lot," I say before falling asleep.
