What if light Won (death note)

I'm Bob, your guide through these vast new realities. If you dare, come with me and ponder the question: "What if?" This is a Death Note fanfic inspired by Marvel's "What If?"

Almost everything up to the point of the warehouse is the same. Light and his team, along with N and his team, are both there as Teru Mikami enters the room.

Almost everyone is shocked, but Light says:

Light Yagami: How many seconds has it been since you wrote the first name?

Teru Mikami: 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40!

But in this timeline, Light kept his mouth shut and didn't say, "I win, Near."

As everyone wonders why no one has died, Near tells them to bring him the note. As they do, Near is shocked to see that Light's name has been written on it, but Matsuda's name isn't. Everyone on Light's team, including Light, backs off from Matsuda as he tries to explain:

Matsuda: What?! I am not Kira, I can't be! Come on, guys!

Light knew that Near switched the Death Note with a fake, so he told Teru Mikami to keep it and write everyone's name, including Light's, on the note. As Near said himself, "Whoever is on that note is clear." So Light is now clear of any suspicion of being Kira, and he now knows the names of everyone in that room and their faces. All Light has to do is wait.

Near (mind): I gave this guy too little credit; he is smarter than he looks.

Light: I can't believe it... Matsuda, it was you all along?!

Near: I don't think it's Matsuda.

Light: You just said whoever isn't on that note is Kira. You changed your mind because it wasn't me?

Light: You're just like L.

As Light is now clear, they go their separate ways. On Light's way back home, he opens his watch and kills everyone who was in that room, including Teru Mikami, and he becomes the god of the new world.
