Chapter 12 : I don't want to die!
( ( Sydney's POV ) )
I was in such a rush to find Dopey for two reasons. One, I have to complete my mission and Two, I didn't see him yesterday. And if he's anything like the others, he's going to be so cute...I hope.
People were giving me weird looks as if I had a bug on my face or way too much makeup on. Just when it was beginning to get to me, I saw Dopey by a fountain. I knew that because his name was written over his head and let me tell you...he looks mighty fine and so adorable.
He had long purple hair in a ponytail and curious blue eyes. As I walked closer, I realized that there were even small fish in the fountain and they looked cute [ I wonder if they taste any good too ]
" Morning Dopey ", He turned to me and smiled before giving me a big hug [ He's surprisingly strong ] From the little character information I had, he was eighteen and the youngest of the dwarves and he still couldn't speak.
So I forgot one important detail, and yes it is worthy of a panic attack [ Dopey still can't speak! ] which means I can't ask him what his wish is. I suddenly went limp and Dopey pulled away, obviously worried.
That was my determination and sense of adventure leaving my body. How am I supposed to finish this mission in a week if we can't communicate? And I don't even know what my punishment will be for failing.
But considering the hatred the devil book and I have for each other, I don't want to find out. Dopey was still staring at me and I sighed, holding out my hands " I need a hug Dopey ". Dopey happily obliged and I got another hug, [ When was the last time I had a hug? It's nicer than I remember ]
That hug was really what I needed and now I can try and manage.....if I don't give up first of course. I stood on my toes and patted his head, " Don't look so upset Dopey, I'm alright ".
Dopey obviously didn't believe me, that much I understood then it hit me [ I'll just make up our own way to communicate ] and I laughed victoriously to myself as my plan made more sense in my head.
" Dopey, can you say anything "? Dopey dejectedly shook his head and I held his shoulders, " Don't worry, we can just make our own signs. Is that okay with you "? Dopey nodded and we spent the morning making signs up.

I know it's unoriginal but this is the only thing I could think of and besides, it's effective. We were celebrating our new language when someone suddenly started walking towards us.
He had black hair and brown eyes and much like every other male character I'd seen so far, he was ruggedly handsome and even seemed to be a hunter [ Well then, he's trapped my heart already ]
But that didn't mean, I wanted to see him up close. It's like lions and tigers, they look so fluffy and soft from afar but you'd never be dumb to try and pet them. When I tried to read information on him, nothing happened.
My sense of dread increased but I resisted the urge to run as he stopped in front of me. I closed my eyes and crossed my fingers [ Please don't be the bad guy, Please don't be the bad guy ] " Is that really you Miss Sydney "?
I looked up at him and blinked a few times, I know it's illogical that he'd know my real name and it wouldn't be likely that it was one of the princes since they didn't take me seriously earlier.
But I wasn't thinking straight either, [ He knows my real name which means he knows I'm not Snow White which means I'm going to jail which means I'm gonna die. I don't want to die! ]
