Chapter 58: I Love Monster Girls!
Li Yexing inserted the magnetic card he had retrieved from Parker's body into the slot. With a soft *Beep*, the red indicator light on the controller finally turned green.
Li Yexing pulled the switch down forcefully, and the next second, accompanied by an alarm and a rumbling mechanical sound, the gate slowly opened. Outside was the slightly brightening sky and the boundless sea.
Ada had already started the boat, while Lilith and Helen had boarded the boat. When Li Yexing boarded the boat, he found that someone was missing. Turning back, he saw that Rita was standing in the center of the field, motionless, smiling.
"Come on, Rita, what are you waiting for?" Li Yexing said impatiently. "We don't have time."
"I can't," Rita shook her head and smiled bitterly. She said to Li Yexing, "I can't leave this ship."
"Why not?" Li Yexing was puzzled.
Ada, on the other hand, realized what was going on and whispered, "Because her body has already undergone B.O.W. mutation. No one knows what will happen to her body next."
"Don't be ridiculous," Li Yexing ran straight down to the boat and came to Rita's side, grabbing her wrist and saying, "Hurry up and get on the boat. Don't waste everyone's time. Otherwise, if the torpedoes come, none of us can get away."
"Sir!" Rita suddenly shook off Li Yexing's hand. There was a slightly sad smile on her face, and her chest slowly split open, revealing the core inside.
"Sir, I respect you very much. You are the most special person I have met in my less than twenty years of life. If possible, I also hope that I can leave here with you and move towards a future with more possibilities," she said softly. "But, you see, this body; this is no longer a human body..."

"So you're not going to back down, huh?" Rita's face showed a cruel and contemptuous smile as the tentacle slowly touched Li Yexing's cheek, grazing his exposed skin, wrapping around his neck and slowly tightening.
But to Rita's surprise, Li Yexing never flinched. There was not a trace of fear in his eyes, he just stared at her calmly.
"Aren't you scared?" Rita finally became flustered and asked somewhat uncertainly.
"Why should I be? Are you going to harm me?" Li Yexing asked in turn.
"Of course not, but..."
"No buts! It's settled then! From now on, you're with me! You said there's no place for you in the outside world? Then I'll give you one!" Li Yexing forcefully interrupted Rita and then turned to shout at Ada, "Boss, our office needs a maid to help out. I'm bringing one back, is that okay?"
"It's up to you." Ada's smile was a little helpless, as she softly said, "Do you really like monster girls that much?"
"Yeah, that's right! I love them all!" Li Yexing said proudly, then grabbed Rita's wrist again, ignoring her weak struggles, and dragged her roughly onto the lifeboat.
As Li Yexing held her hand, Rita's face flashed a faint blush.
"Thank you," she whispered.
She led Rita onto the speedboat, and the little yellow flower Helen next to her held Rita's hands tightly, her eyes shining like little stars.
"It's really great, Miss Rita!" Helen, the girl, was genuinely happy to have Rita on board, and it warmed Rita's heart.
"Thank you... really... thank you all..." Tears streamed down Rita's face uncontrollably. This was the first time since Lord Griffith's death that anyone had treated her with such kindness after she had avenged her enemy and found a way out of her desperate situation.
"Set sail!" Li Yexing, who was sitting in the co-pilot's seat, took off his coat and draped it over Rita's bare body, then waved his hand and shouted proudly.
"At your will, Captain," Ada smiled slightly, and with the roar of the engine, the small lifeboat full of people finally left the hellish Orianna and headed towards the vast sea.
"I can finally go home on vacation..." Li Yexing lay on the seat with his legs up on the bow of the boat, lighting a cigarette and murmuring to himself as he looked up at the sky. "I have a family now. Should I consider retiring..."
"It's not realistic, Mr. Li," Ada said with a playful smile. "You're too involved in this world, the world full of monsters. Once you step into it, there's no turning back."
"Speaking of which..." Li Yexing's brow furrowed slightly. "What about your mission? It seems that Rita has eaten your target..."
At this, Li Yexing then turned to look at Ada. "You're not going to cut our pay just because you didn't finish your mission, are you?"
"Of course not. Considering the instability of this mission, I might even try to persuade my boss to give you a raise for our next collaboration." Ada explained with a smile, assuaging Li Yexing's concerns.
"Don't worry, there won't be a next time," Li Yexing said with a serious face.
"That's not up to you," Ada smiled like a fox. "Besides, who said my mission wasn't completed?"
As she spoke, Ada took out the glass container with the core of the Night Goddess, the same one that had been cut off by Parker earlier. Li Yexing noticed that half of the solution in the glass container had been spilled, and a tentacle was now soaking in it.
"Ohh... Awesome!" Li Yexing exclaimed in surprise.
"This is the foundation of foundations," Ada smiled in response, looking at the young mercenary sitting in the passenger seat in front of her. She decided to investigate the mercenary's identity and past experiences as soon as they returned.
Using a grappling gun to go for a one-hit-kill rocket launcher? Does this person know a little too much?
Li Yexing casually threw his cigarette butt into the sea then turned around and looked behind him.
Rita, who was now wearing a coat and had an elegant smile on her face, was listening to what the little flower Helen was saying.
Lilith, on the other hand, was silent and just staring at the sea, letting the sea breeze lift her long silver hair.
"You're not happy..." Li Yexing whispered to Lilith, "It's my fault that I didn't ask for your opinion on Rita's situation."
"Lilith does feel uncomfortable because Lilith and Yexing's private world will disappear," Lilith said softly, looking at the sea. Her words made Li Yexing feel a bit down.
"But Lilith is also relieved," Lilith turned her head and looked straight into Li Yexing's eyes. "Because Lilith knows that because Yexing is this kind of person that Lilith was saved by Yexing. Therefore, Lilith knows that Yexing will definitely save Miss Rita. Lilith thinks that Yexing has made the right choice."
Looking at Li Yexing's somewhat shocked face, Lilith's face lit up with an angelic smile.
"The Yexing that Lilith loves is just like this."
The sun rose above the sea, casting a golden light on Lilith's face, which made Li Yexing feel a bit dizzy for a moment. He suddenly gritted his teeth, reached out, and roughly rubbed Lilith's head, saying, "You want to make me cry with your touching words? My tears are rolling around in my eyes, you moron!"
Accompanied by laughter and joy, the boat carrying their future sailed toward the golden sunlight.
