Vice captain delivery to the Head magician

The Magician's Tower

From afar, you would see the Tower of Magicians like an over sized light house with a tan color looking bricks as the foundation of the building. It's almost looking rundown and with huge hundreds of year old trees along the way of the building entrance it's almost hidden like a perfect camouflage.

Along that way, if you're not pay attention enough, you can lost your way even though there is just one straight road since there is confusion charm that can obstruct your memory about the real direction. There for you need an amulet to counter the charm so you can go to the Tower efficiently and that is what the Vice Captain Curtis Rudiger do.

The Vice captain bring the Verne family's amulet. It is an amulet particularly for the Knights and vasals of the Lord with Verne Family's emblems. He walk to the front and faced by two robe guys who guarding the entrance.

"Whoa... Look who it is! Isn't it Mr. Interogator?" One of the guard ask him with sarcasm."Do you change your mind? Need our help to alter their memories, now?"

"Hahaha! If that's right, now would be pricey."the other laugh.

"Of course! In every spell there is a price."

"No. I'm here to meet the Head Tower. It is the Lord's order." The Vice captain answer.

"Well, yeah. Right! If your 'AMULET' say so! Haha." says the guard with his hand gestures welcoming through the Tower's Barrier while his eyes glanced at Verne family's amulet.

Vice Captain Curtis grunt with disappointment and walk inside the barrier and stunned a moment because of the difference of gravity inside the barrier.

The Tower of Magicians is 100 times more wider than a lighthouse and its height is higher than the tallest tree there. It's almost like a second town that is hidden with spell. It makes the Vice captain remember his lord says,

'If they are not under King's name, I could issues tax evasion for property and building with false reports! These Magician's Tower! It's not only expansion spell but a crack between time and space!'

"You're right, my Lord they indeed fabricate their land reports!" Vice Captain Curtis mumbles with his black-brownish eyebrows furrowed.

"Hahaha! " the mages who guarding the front laugh because they hear what he says.

"What we can even do? That's the King's order, Sir Knight!" one of them shouted.

"That's right! Hahaha" the other add the comment and they laughed again.

"Yeah! And your upper classes even the one that order you won't save you when they need a scape goat! Says that when your neck save from the gallows!" Curtis shout back at them and they stop laughing.

"Cocky bastard!" one of them curse him. "Do you think they would catch us again?" he whispered.

"I don't know, hope not! "

While the two guards keep gossiping, Vice Captain Curtis can't hear them anymore after he walk through the barrier more than 10 steps. He continued his journey and reach the Head Tower's office.

At the front door of the tower, he coincidentally escorted by a magician to find the way but he asked him to leave him be before he enter the office.

The escorting magician didn't knock at the door but instead recite a spell to open the door. When his spell bounced or did not work, he conjures a trumpets and shouts.

"MASTEEEEER!!! Stop what ever you're doing and get back to WOOOORK!!! You've got a messagger by the way!"

His sounds was resonating and echo at the other side of the door. It's sounds normal for Vice Captain Curtis, but it seems louder to the other side. Vice Captain can't react anything but says,

"Wow!"

Then the escort magician put another spell and says,

"Better to cover your ears Sir. Knight-Vice Captain!"

Curtis nodded and cover his ears. Then a sound coming to them like taifun to their face.

"SILENCEEEE!!! YIDDIIIISH!!!"

After that the door open by it self.

There, Vice Captain Curtis saw the Head Tower of Magician sit leisurely while looked at the light yellow handkerchief with humming randomly in his mouth. He frowned suspiciously at the Head Magician when he remembers his Lord release him without punishment. He steps in and the door closed automaticly.

"Excuse me, Mr. Owner of the Tower. Vice captain Curtis Rudiger, and-..."

"at your service!" he cuts and add, "Yes. Everybody in this tower know who you are. Whether the one who's ever captured or the one you ignore. Including the one outside who escort you." He said without care to see at Vice captain.

After that, he conjures his trumpet again, while still refuse to even give a glance at Vice captain.

"YIIIIDDIIIISH!!! Nothing bad would happen! Get back to whatever you're doing! Stop being Worry-Wyvren in my lair!"

'Pang! ' there is a sound of something pop up outside the door and suddenly cold silence come almost like every thing along the corridor out side the door being suppressed without sound.

Vice Captain Curtis feels the chill down his spine. His hunch as knight says there is dangerous things outside. Although he didn't know what spell that is.

"Ekhm!" he try to clear his throat and continue what he would says. "I was sent here to deliver the Lord's message for you. There is a particular letter and the follow up about monsters case." as he says, Vice Captain Curtis take the anvelope with his Lord seal from his uniform pocket.

'Whuuush!' suddenly the head tower of magician stands in front of him in a blink with his friendly smile.

"Is it from her? for me?" he ask.

Vice Captain Curtis was shocked with his instant change of character and he feels suspicious at Head of the Tower.

'Is this what makes my lord release him? His puppy dog eyes really suspicious.' he thought.

"Yes, here it is!" he said it as he put the letters on the palm of the head tower's hand, which is open widely as his smile rose from ear to ear and his eyes glistening with pinkish rays.

'Swuuush!' once again the head of the tower moves quickly to his sofa with a letter opener and leisurely read it.

"Go to this coordinate ***** at yellow day prepare to teleport a lot of people. If you do it, I will give you another reward. Choose yellow or pink. Burn this after you read."

"Spark of Agni!" he recited and the letter burn in to crisp.

"Thank you Vice Captain of the Knight. I get your lord's feelings through my heart." he says.

"What?" Vice Captain confused.

"Well, now! Allowed me to return your favor with insta-teleport. So, you could retire." he waves his hand and magic circle formed in the air.

"Wait!"

'Shwisss!' Vice Captain Curtis vanish and reappear in his own home.

"How could he knows where my room is? He is definitely a spy!" says the Vice Captain with determination.

Meanwhile, the one who sent him back signed with a longing expression.

"Hhhh... I miss her." he says to himself. "How cruel she is, ask me to burns her love letter. Can't l even keep it? Her writing is as beautiful as her eyes. Hhh... What am I gonna do, now?"

The head magician suddenly examine the handkerchief that he keeps rubbing with his cheek before. He seems to awake from trance and can distinguished its color now.

"Yellow?"

Then he put his hand to his pocket and take out an empty vial from it.

" And... Pink?"

That is the vial that he previously used as the container for love potion.

"For a kiss." he slightly smirk then unconciously touching his own lip when think about the reward mention in letter and he continue to mumbling confusedly

"but why?"
