It was time for me to go; something I had been telling myself for quite some time. But the smile of that little girl and a part of my own satisfaction kept me from doing so. And when the opportunity finally presented itself, my physical limitations held back. After finally waking up at her bedside, a sound of some car came in. Shortly after it was followed by footsteps of what I felt like two people. The increasing volume made it obvious that they were coming here. Maybe the little experience or something overly emotional rush, maybe it was both. I took out my gun and made myself ready when the doorknob clicked...
-...(sighs)
-..and I was the one who made him our new recruit for the house..
-What!?,- I whispered to my own consciousness.
-Will he accept the job? Cause that would actually help me a lot.
-Management is pushing?
-Ugh! New recruitment issue needs to be solved by the end of this month. God!! I am so done.
-Hey? Guys? I think I am the one you need to talk to first.
-Ms. Inspector, sorry for being late. The place needed a bit of cleaning, boxes were to be sorted.
-Yes indeed.
-I am sorry Inspector for this. You must have had a tough time with Jane..
-Speaking of her, where is she actually Ms..Inspector?,- A rather good looking woman, a girl I would think in her mid twenties interrupted us. I could understand that she was not entirely excited about me, not in a good way.
-Oh, she's sleeping right over at her bed. See? There.
-Yeah I bet. What else could she do without me around..
-I don't know, apart from talking, playing hide and seek, drawing, cooking ramen and stuffs.
-What??,- That look of jealousy filled with anger and hatred was all over her face. Truth was it felt good for making someone feel that way.
-Okay! Timeout ladies...let's not wake her up.
-Yeah lets not. I don't think I can handle two kids today,- I could tell Jerry was enjoying this as much as I was. But to my defence, he was right.
-Shut up old lady,- As much as I wanted to and actually was able to keep violence to the minimalistic state throughout the evening, she was at the contrast to my noble intentions.
-..alright..hey Jerry? Is it okay if I teach the kid..
-NO. And no.
-...
-Why don't you two sit down? Let me get you something to drink.
-No thanks Jerry. I was about to leave anyway.
