A Night in the Elven City Part 5

Fey and Dax both laughed to themselves at the governor's silly comment. "No, I am sure the food is fine." Fey said. "This place is empty because of Uriel. He was overzealous in protecting Daxy."

"Protecting him, how?" Todd asked.

"Remember when I passed out earlier?" Dax asked.

"When you were floating unconscious in the room?" Todd asked. "Something like that is hard to forget, even when drunk. What does that have to do with this restaurant being empty though, I don't understand."

"Well, when I passed out originally a crowd of elves were cheering for me, since Uriel didn't know the cause of my collapse he limited possible factors, one of those being crowds." Dax explained. "So, he knew we would eat here, either because it was the only restaurant here, or because he had Bell recommend it for us. So, he had it emptied for us."

"At least, that is our working theory right now." Fey said. "It isn't like we have asked to be sure."

"True." Dax said. "It might be the food."
