chapter twelve:Birthday party

When I saw her kissing him infront of everyone, it made me feel like I wanted to push her of him, even though I didn't know what was going on. To be honest he's the hottest guy in the whole school and he was a captain of a basketball team. And know he was going to have a girlfriend who is also a cheerleader in the team.

Not only that but she was also pretty and I see her having all guys drooling on her beauty. Her name is Ashley and also mean sometimes I see her being harsh to other students and also threats them whenever they refuse to do what she asks them to do.

I suddenly felt pain on my arm and then I lost consciousness I was about to kiss the floor when suddenly someone grabbed me and carried me in a bridal style,  I looked at him as I knew no girl would be do that not that I would judge her strength or anything.

I looked up and saw toby,he smiled then I passed out. When I woke up there was a nurse taking notes while looking at the monitoring system.

She looked down at me and smiled as she saw me awake,she immediately ran out to call a doctor. He came in and asked me how I was feeling, I looked at my arm and it was bandaged.

"What happened to your arm, it looked swollen?" He asked as he sat on the chair in front of me.

"I....I fell down as I ran last night" I said as l looked at my arm.

"Why were you running?" He asked curiously.

"I went for a walk in the woods and I suddenly heard a wolf howling so I got scared and ran but I stumbled and fell hard on the ground and my arm got bruised " I said as I moaned in pain.

"Ok then I hope you will feel better "he smiled and left the room with the nurse.

I looked at him suspiciously as I felt like he didn't believe what I said. There was no way I was going to say that I saw a vampire and a werewolf fight in front of my eyes, pushed me and got myself injured.

I wanted to know if what I saw was real and probably me  thinking about  the  fantasy of supernatural existence is real.

I went to sleep as my body was weak due to sedated and my eyes felt heavy so I was fast a sleep.

When I woke up I saw my aunt in front of me and she was holding my hand. He r eyes looked swollen as f shewas crying for hours. She looked at me as I stared at her face.

"Oh baby how are you doing and why is your arm bandaged?" She asked as she looked at me.

"Nothing happened Aunty, last night when you disappeared out of nowhere, I waited for you in my room but you didn't come back so I happen to...." I said and looked behind her was a shadow I got up to look who it was but it disappeared.

"What happened lisa? Please tell me?" She begged.

"Nothing Aunt, it's  just that I slipped and fell on my arm " I said as I remembered that I had to know the truth first.

She didn't push it but she smiled and so she left the room to talk to the doctor. Soon she came back and we left the school. It was almost night time so we drove to a restaurant.

She didn't say anything all the way there and I was just try to remember the incident. As we reached, I saw a familiar face, it was toby and Ashley, they looked like they were arguing and soon Ashley walked away and toby stood there smiling.

As we pulled off, my aunt got out first then she opened the door for me, I jumped out as it was a jeep and my aunt told me to be careful.

As I walked next to her,my eyes met toby's he smiled and I could feel my dance heart dancing deja vu.

"Hey toby right?" I asked as I pretended not to know his name.

"Yeah it is,can I help you?" He asked as though he wasn't the guy who helped me earlier.

"Am melissa, we met earlier on the airport and also you took me to the infirmary this morning?" It came out as a question rather than statement.

"Oh yeah right, how are you feeling?" He asked as he pointed to my arm.

"Am great, I wanted to thank you for helping me I truly appreciate that.

"Aunt veronica, this is toby he's the guy who helped me" I said looking at her.

"Thank you for everything young man"she said trying to avoid eye contact.

That's weird, she quickly pulled me closer and we went inside, we sat down and ordered dinner.

We  came back home and she quickly left me in the middle of the room and ran to her room which left me wonder why she was acting so strange.

For the next few days, i was on bed rest  and i was feeling bored, the only time i was allowed out of the room was when I wanted to use the restroom.

A week later

Finally i was able to leave the house for a check up and i was glad as the bandage was removed.

As we left the hospital, I got a text message from a group chat that mike was hosting a party in his house and almost the whole school was invited.

I looked at my aunt who looked at me and she looked lost in her thoughts.

"Hey aunt if you don't mind can I go to a school party?" I asked her.

"As school party?" She asked unsure.

"Yes, it's actually a friend's party and he invited the whole school please don't say no" I begged.

"Why do you wanna go to a party and I don't feel comfortable with you going out especially when you are new to this place " she protested.

"Please Aunty, I won't be alone, I have friends and I promise to be home before you know it " I pleaded.

"Alright then but on one condition, I  drive you there so  I know the place that way if anything happens that friend of yours will answer to me ok" she said smiling at me.

"Thank you so much Aunty and if course you can drive me there" I agreed to her condition.

Finally I was at the place where the party was held and when I got out of the car, i spotted Mike at the entrance.

He looked adorably cute with his blue jeans, white shirt and black leather jacket which suit him so well.

I on the other hand wore a flowy short red dress that reached above my knees. He smiled at me and took my hand. We both got in and he offered me a drink.

I took it and looked around the place it was beautifully decorated with black and blue balloons at the entrance and there was a banner that read "WELCOME TO MIKE'S PARTY "with red lights around the corners.

"Let me guess, it's  not a school party but your birthday?" I asked him.

"Indeed it is my birthday and I happen to have a beautiful girl right in front of me if you don't mind can I have a pleasure to dance with you?" He offered his hand for me to take.

I smiled at his gentle smile and took his hand. We dance until I could no longer stand and he then took me to a place.

It was quite unlike the other side, he helped me sit near the pool and I took off my shoes and put my legs inside the pool.

Mike took of his jacket and put it on my shoulder and sat next to me, he gave me a drink and I put my head on his shoulder.

He has a broad shoulders and I could lie my head there for hours. He then pulled my face close to his, he stared down at my lips before I know it he was kissing me and I just.....
