chapter 42;War with an Alpha?!

I was sitting in my room as I remembered what nora said but I wasn't ready to give up on lisa yet.

It was midnight when I spotted nora driving back from the party that lisa invited her. I wanted to hear what lisa told her.

I left my office quickly, and went downstairs. I saw her lying on the sofa with her shoes on.

Even though I was eager to know what lisa said I decided to let her sleep. I took of her shoes and put blanket on her before turning off the lights.

The next day, I found nora and mom in the kitchen preparing breakfast. I sat on the chair, sam came and joined me as we waited for mom and nora to serve us.

"So how was the party last night?" I asked nora as I took a bite of pie.

"I think it's best not to ask that?" She said as she avoided my eyes.

For once I thought she would be excited to tell me things excitedly, I didn't understand why she didn't want to say a word so I just waited for her patiently.

After a breakfast, we got ready for school. I chose my  favourite black sport bike to ride as its been a while since I rode it.

"Are you serious, winter is about to start and now you want to drive this?" She asked pointing at the bike.

"I know that and besides what does winter have to do with riding a bike and for the second time why are you ditching my question?" I asked firmly.

"I didn't want to say anything earlier but since you're so eager, fine just so you know lisa chose toby end of story" she said furiously and sat behind me.

I was surprised by her attitude, she normally go excited and joyful whenever she talked about lisa but today she seemed like she was angry and didn't want to give me more details.

More surprisingly was the fact that she said lisa chose toby, it hit me like a bullet,I didn't expect her to make such a quick decision but I guess she had made it already but wasn't she leaving?.

I don't know what it was but I wasn't going to quit on her not now not ever. Though am pissed but I don't think I'll be able to get over her even if she's with him.

"Are we leaving or not?" Nora asked as she tapped me.

I nodded and drove to school, I stopped and we both took our helmets and nora stood in front of me and gave me the helmet.

As I took it from her I noticed familiar face, it was lisa and toby they both got out and lisa ran towards me. I felt my anger raising and I remembered what nora said.

She stopped walking once she saw how furious I was, nora who was standing in front of me turned around and saw lisa who stopped on her track.

Toby stood next to her as he put his arm around her waist, she looked like she was about to cry which I didn't understand.

"Was she regretting her decision to be with toby and wants to be with me?" I asked myself.

She then turned and hugged him tightly, he whispered something to her and she suddenly broke into tears.

I wanted to walk towards her when nora stopped me and I looked at her shaking her head as though she didn't want me to talk to lisa.

I was about to ask her why didn't want me to talk to lisa but then we were interrupted by toby who was calling lisa's name as she fell unconscious on his lap.

I walked towards them when the kids crowded them and I couldn't pass through them.

Toby was quick to carry her to his car and drove away. I quickly ran to my bike, I wore my helmet as I started the engine.

Nora was next to me in a second as I was about to leave, she stopped me once again.

"Why do you keep on following her, can't you just accept that she has chosen toby the alpha" she said as she stopped the engine.

"What makes you think that am going to give up easily something isn't right what if you're wrong and misheard something else?" I asked as I looked at her.

"Am not lying mike, I already told you she made up her mind and please just leave her alone it's for your own good" she whined.

"No nora not until I hear it from her and besides who knows she might have a change of heart" I hoped for my words to come true.

I then drove away leaving her at 5he entrance of school, luckily I managed to follow toby's car and they stopped at the hospital.

Toby took her out of his car and carried her towards the emergency room, a doctor and nurses took her to a room and toby was stopped by the nurse.

He stopped and watched from the outside, he banged his hand on the wall as though he was angry.

He probably heard my footsteps when he turned around and walked towards me in anger and punched me in the face.

"who gave you the right to be here?" He asked as he pulled me by the collar and pushed me to the wall.

"What's your problem, she my friend and I have right to be here" I said as I pushed him away.

"Oh really,well I have news for you she's mine and you better leave before I make you regret"he warned as he pointed to the door.

"What makes you think I'll do what you say?" I asked as I grabbed his collar.

"Because I said so and don't you ever dare come near her she's here because of you already " he pointed at the room she was admitted to.

Part of me felt bad for what happened that I forgot I was mad at her. I heard the doctor calling her name as she checked her pulse.

"Can I at least see her before I leave" I suggested as I looked at her from the door.

"What makes you think that I'll let that happen mom?"he asked as he stood next to me.

I didn't want to cause trouble as I have already done, so I just turned to leave. The doctor came out and I looked at him.

"Don't worry she just fell into unconscious due to lack of iron and needs more rest" he said and told us that we can see her one by one.

At first, I was hesitant then took a deep breath before I went in, even though toby didn't want me to see he then nodded and I entered her room.

I looked at her as I pulled the chair and sat down, I held her hand as I stared at her face,she looked peaceful with her eyes closed.

I then remember the look on her face before she passed out, it was as if she wanted to tell me something but stopped.

"What did you want to tell me lisa?" I asked as I kissed her hand.

She didn't open her eyes,then I heard a knock on the door,I looked up and saw nora standing by the door.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I laid lisa's hand down and walked towards her.

"I don't know, but part of me felt bad for what I said even though I know my feelings are mutual about her but she's still my friend" nora said as she walked towards her.

"I know you mean no harm to her and I want to know how she feels too but for now it's best if we leave" I said as I pulled her out.

We both left the room, I looked around for toby but he was nowhere to be seen. I assumed he went to see the doctor so nora and I left the hospital.

As we walked out I saw toby with bodyguards, he was leaning on my bike and he looked furious at me. Nora held my arm and we both walked together towards him.

"You surely have the nerve to come here after what you did and mostly after what I found out now you better keep your distance away from lisa" he said as he took off his sunglass and pointed his finger at me.

"Whata re you talking about and staying away from her wont happen so you better not cross your limit" I said as I pushed him of my bike.

"I know you murdered my father and now am leaving you with a warning if you dare come near lisa I won't hesitate to kill you myself " he whispered in my ear.

"Its been weeks since he died and how did he found out I was the one?" I asked  myself.

"Just so you know you won't be able to see her anytime soon" he said as he was escorted to the hospital by his guards.

One thing I know for sure was I never intended to kill anyone nor his father, whatever happened was an accident but the look on his face showed how angry he was.

He was probably holding back because of lisa and didn't fight me who knows when he will get his revenge on me.

"And now he says that I won't see her anytime soon does that mean he's planning on taking her away from here?" I wondered what he's planning to do.

For sure I have lost her for good this time,I might also be an alpha and soon am about to engage in a war with an alpha werewolf.....
