Chapter 8

My knees bend as I struggle to support Ash on my back. I shot my head back at Finn, he runs over to keep settle him against the wall. I watched my breath as I went in for a hug.

"Thought I would lose you there." My eyes weaken as I gave a smile. He smiles back as he continues hugging. I pulled myself out as I walked towards Candice. She gave a wave as I repay it back with my weak wave. I chuckled as my smile grew more.

"I'm glad you went out alive." I squeal as I dived in for a hug. I patted her back, we kept that hug for a few seconds.

"We are the ones who are supposed to be worried about you," no movement came from Candice. She sighed as she tilted her head down and tapped her temple with her wrist.

"I really don't know what is happening now, this feels all dazy for me now. I can't even believe that we just accepted this and move on with it," Candice said with a disappointed scared tone. I also felt the same way knowing that the last thing I could remember is coming back alone from the camp. It just went blurry as soon as I got knocked out and finding myself and the group in some building with one exit. It was just confusion among the group from then and there. I read online somewhere that a way to calm down is to take deep breaths.

"It's going to be alright, take deep breaths," I reassured Candice. Grinned back as she inhaled and exhaled. I lean towards Ace's way as I attempt to put her with another person to keep her company as I sort things out. The weight made it easy to pull. I laughed as brushed between my hair with my hands.

I rest upon the wall as I tilt my head back. The sun hits my side so well along with the heat mixed with the cool breeze. My eyes start to close as I opened it wide open. I shuffle through my pockets to pull out the piece of paper. I read through it more as my eyes widen in shock. The note seems to be there to reveal our roles which then takes us back to when we were supposed to tell each other them.

I look down in goom over my paper before looking back up at Lianne and the others. The sun hits my eyes but I blocked the beam of light with my palm. I wonder how long is this game is going to go on. I wouldn't want them to know what something worse is going to happen. I shook myself off as I head towards Chase. The gray-haired boy standing behind the railing blocking the cliff. He's reserved as usual to which he would stare off a lot. I tap his shoulder in order to break his gaze towards the bottom of the cliff.

"You doing okay over here?" I slowly but effortly switching into a reassuring tone. I shine a smile as to cover the feeling of awkwardness filling me up. His attention switches between the cliff and me. He slowly turns around as he takes his hand out of his pocket. His hand feeling cold as he pushes my hand off his shoulder. I shudder as I got myself together, waiting for his answer.

"This is going to be a long while." said Chase as he pushes himself back to face the cliff. I followed behind as I also look into the cliff with him. I patted his back but he moves his shoulder away from my hand. I started heading back to group to get to some rest. I sighed as I find a place to lay upon.

I shook my head as I start gathering together what was laying around the camp. I smiled down on Ace and Hayden. I breathed in the great cold air, hoping that this doesn't end up the way the game wanted to. We got our roles two days ago. I'm taking my time to concentrate on how the roles work for this game. My head shook in displease knowing that this game won't end well. Just as the last of content fills up, it was interrupted by Candice rushing over. She pauses to catch her breath. "Bailey is dead", she dropped. My eyes widen in terror and shock as I inhaled sharply.
