Birthday party

After school, Kiran wasn't that surprise to see that his dad was the one picking him right now from school as he know that his mom would be currently busy with his birthday party.

Reaching their home, he could see that the mansion was decorated from the front to back, the design were so captivating that he couldn't get his eyes off it.

"If I'm not mistaking, then I would have said mom hire the best designers in the world, because seeing as how everywhere is decorated, I would have give them a ten out of ten in rating" said Kiran as he step down from the car while still looking at the design.

"Your mom have been waiting for your sixteen years birthday, she was always talking about how grandeur it would be" replied Hendrick as he step out of the car also.

"I do really wish Layla could be here right now" said Kiran with a sigh.

"Don't worry about it, everything will be recorded so she can see it when she comes, but for now, go and get ready, the guests would soon be here" said Hendrick.

"Okay dad" replied Kiran as he walked into the mansion and walked towards his room.

After washing himself and having a change of clothes, he walked out if his room as he could see the time was almost 5:00.

Walking out of the mansion, he could see Mikey and Caleb already present with other's coming inside with every passing minutes.

"Your mom really do know how to throw a grand party" said Caleb as Kiran approached them.

"Hi Kiran" said a girl as she walked over to meet them.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming, didn't you day you won't be coming when I asked?" said Kiran as he gave her a hug.

"Of course I won't miss it, just wanted you to think I won't come so I can surprise you" said the girl as she hug him back.

"Oh please, spare my innocent eyes" said Mikey jokingly causing everyone to laugh. "How are you doing Abigail?" asked Mikey.

"I'm good Mikey and you?" replied Abigail as she gave him a hand shake.

"I'm doing great, so no hug for me, you are so mean" replied Mikey as he shake her hand.

"Come on, let's go sit down so we can catch up on things" said Caleb as everyone walked over to seat down.

"Before I forget, here's your gift Kiran" said Abigail as she handed the wrap box to him.

"Thank you" replied Kiran as he take the gift from her.

"Come on open it let's see what your girlfriend got for you" said Mikey.

"Not going to work, I will open it in private" responded Kiran. "My grandma's here, I would be back, let me go greet her, or you guys can come along if you like" said Kiran.

"Right behind you" replied the three of them as they follow him.

After greeting his grandma, they all walked back to their seat so as to continue their conversation.

"Didn't expect that those who would attend in our class would be this much" said Kiran. "I do like as they came to support me".

"Then better make sure to win this year maths competition, if not, they would all be against you" said Caleb.

"What!!!, are you saying their reason for coming is so I can win the competition, pretty much sure that Lydia and I would do a great job winning it" replied Kiran.

"Who's Lydia, is she your partner in this year competition?" asked Abigail.

"Yes and you would have to watch out for her if you want to win, she's good and I pretty much think she can win it all on her own" replied Mikey.

"I won't lose to anyone" said Abigail with seriousness.

On seeing the determination on her face, the three boys couldn't help themselves as they laugh out loud.

"You better have to study hard, when I mean study hard, you have to study throughout the whole day till the competition, because pure determination won't win Lydia" said Caleb.

"You don't know my capabilities, and I actually don't know hers, but I'm not a fool who would turn a deaf ear to your words and underestimate my opponent, I will heed your warning and make sure to study hard" said Abigail.

"Did Kiran inform you he took second position the moment Lydia was transferred to our school?" asked Mikey.

"No he didn't, so are you telling me, Lydia got first, putting Kiran in second?" asked Abigail.

"Yes, the funny part is that it not only once but twice now" replied Mikey.

"I would be taking my first position from her very soon" said Kiran.

"You do know that's what I actually said in our martial arts tournament, but it never happened, I'm still second while you are still first till date when that's clearly my position you took from me" said Caleb while laughing.

"So what are you implying?" asked Kiran.

"Well nothing, but things don't really change often like the way we want it to" replied Caleb.

After staying with his friends for some time, Kiran walked to meet his mom as he could see that almost everybody he knew was now present.

The music that have been playing throughout out the starting of the celebration was put to a stop as it was now time to sing his birthday song.

Gifts were pouring in one after the other, causing Jenny to carry some towards a room in the mansion seeing as it was too much to leave outside.

Having finished blowing out the candles and cutting the cake, his official sixteen years birthday was finally complete.

The party finally have come to an end as everyone start leaving for their respective places.

After seeing all the guests out, Kiran didn't know when he walked to his room so as to take his bath before going to bed as the exhaustion of the party have finally gotten to him.
