26 Chapter 25 : The Sister

There was silence in the maroon pickup truck as Derek drove the Cullen vampires to their home after breakfast.

Rosalie and Emma wanted to say something but seemed hesitant.

Noticing the intermittent communication with their eyes, the young man wondered what the problem was.

Fortunately, Rosalie spoke hesitantly as she stopped the truck outside the Cullen Mansion.

"Derek umm... we need to tell you something..."

The handsome man nodded calmly, signaling the blonde vampire to continue as he grew worried that they were regretting last night.

"Your sister Bella seems like a special person..."

And when the beautiful woman spoke, he was relieved that it wasn't about last night. Until he make sense of what she said.

" What do you want to say ? "

Emma explained what the blonde girl had said.

"Bella's scent is so... appetizing..."

Derek involuntarily frowned.

"Are you saying her smell makes you thirsty?"

Fearing that the young man would be angry, Rosalie explained the situation in full detail.

"Derek, Emma and I have been vegetarians for a long time... So we've been controlling our thirst for years, but we both wanted to drink Bella's blood when we smelled her..."

Emma continued her words.

"Of course we would never do such a thing... But if her scent was so appealing even to us vegetarians, I can't imagine what it would do to vampires feeding on human blood!"

Derek grit his teeth and involuntarily his jaw clenched. He remembered that Bella's blood was appealing to vampires in the movie, but he didn't remember being a vampire, except for Edyth (Edward), who found her scent particularly appealing.

This fact reminded him once again that he was not in the movie world, but in a kind of parallel Twilight World.

While his silence made both vampires uneasy, the young man spoke with a sigh and reassured them.

"Before you came, I was patrolling the area on certain nights of the week, hunting stray vampires... But I wasn't strong enough to defeat all stray vampires or other creatures. So with your arrival I thought I might finally give up on doing this job..."

After taking a deep breath, the young man continued.

"I know that this area is known in the supernatural world as Cullen's Land… Can't you guys act as some kind of warning or protection for Bella?"

Rosalie answered his question with a sorry face.

"This region is known as the Cullen clan's territory, darling... You have to be the clan leader to issue a warning or make a law in the owned region. Unfortunately, Carlisle is the clan's 3rd heir, so there are 3 more people ahead of her..."

Derek said while grimacing.

"Will she be safe if Bella never leaves Forks? So if she doesn't come into town or leave the house?"

Emma and Rosalie looked at each other for a moment. Then they both nodded and dismissed him.

"That's not possible! Vampires visit the Forks area from time to time, though not very often... It's impossible for one of them not to notice Bella's unique scent..."

The blond vampire comforted Derek as he shrugged in defeat.

"I'll raise this issue with Carlisle. Maybe she has another solution... If she doesn't find a solution, we can take turns protecting your sister."

After Rosalie said this, she kissed the young man goodbye and got out of the truck.

The brunette woman repeated Rosalie's words as she placed a small kiss on the young man's cheek.

"Rosalie's right... At worst, Bella lives on our watch."

The handsome man waited for his girlfriends to come in through the door of the house, waved to them and turned the steering wheel of the old pickup truck.

.............

When Derek returned home, he was momentarily surprised to see Billy's car. The young man, who had parked the red pickup truck next to the black pickup, got out of the car, frowning.

As the young man looked curiously at the black record player, the door of the house opened and Bella stepped out.

Although the petite girl was surprised to see her brother in front of her, she later greeted him with a smile.

Noticing the heavy garbage bag in his hand, Derek quickly approached, picked up the bag and threw it in the trash.

Then he spoke a little scolding.

"Why are you carrying something so heavy? Where is father?"

Bella watched him lift the heavy bag with one hand, her eyes running over her twin's strong arm muscles.

Seeing Derek staring at her curiously, the petite girl shuddered to herself.

"Dad and Billy said they were going to visit somewhere and left. I don't know where they're going."

"Are you sure? Charlie won't leave you alone on the first day and go on a trip!"

Bella spoke as she tucked some of her reddish-brown hair behind her ear.

"I'm not alone. There's you..."

"Let's go inside."

Bella watched her brother enter, then closed the door and entered the house.

She actually wanted to talk to Derek about Rosalie and Emma. However, she did not know Dereks react, so she decided to remain silent.

She could only imagine the conversation that had taken place between her and her brother.

' Derek, your girlfriends are vampires... yes yes real vampires... how do I know that? I can't tell you that.... No, unfortunately I don't have any evidence to prove it.... No, I'm not under the influence of drugs or alcohol... Why are you calling to a mental hospital? '

Bella grimaced at the dialogue she had made to herself in her mind.

The beautiful girl was walking, lost in thought, when her head hit Derek's back, who was suddenly stopped.

"Ahhh! My head"

"Bella, are you okay? Did something happen to your head? Why don't you look ahead?"

The petite girl muttered in pain as her hands covered her little forehead.

"Mmmm I'm fine... I was walking recklessly so I bumped into you."

The young man shook his head as he laughed at her clumsiness.

Bella spoke in embarrassment as the pain on her forehead subsided.

"I'm going to my room... I'll unpack my things."

"Need help?" Derek asked.

" No no... I don't have anything heavy anyway. I'm just going to put my clothes etc."

Derek nodded, giving her a warm smile.

"Well... don't forget to call me when you need help."

Bella climbed the stairs and walked to her room.

The inside of the small room had been moderately cleaned, but it looked rather messy with its belongings placed on the floor.

Bella closed the door and pulled out a small wooden box from her suitcase.

The young woman opened the small box decorated with various patterns. Then She picked up the elegant compass that was in the box. The compass had only one needle, and that too was now motionless. Bella took a deep breath and muttered softly.

" Estum seretrum kerbium mesi cindum...

At these mysterious words, Bella followed needles direction in amazement as the compass flashed powerfully and its needle spun fast.

When the compass needle pointed to the door to her room, she was confused and wondering if she had spelled the spell wrong.

Until she heard footsteps approaching to closed door.

Noticing the voices, the petite girl's face turned white with fear, her eyes wide and she looked at the door.

The next moment, the door to the room was slowly knocked open.

His magnetic voice was heard as her handsome older brother entered the room.

"Bella, I made coffee... Do you want one too?"

Derek froze when he saw the expression on his sister's face as he stood by the door with a coffee mug in his hand.

The girl's face was extremely white, and her beautiful eyes were wide with surprise and fear.

The young man spoke as he approached her in panic.

"What happened, Bella? Why are you looking at it like that? Did you see a bug or a mouse? Or was there someone in your room?"

Bella could only say the following as she opened her small but full lips.

"God Derek... You-you are a supernatural creature..."
