Revealing the Truth

Nine pairs of eyes turned to look at all of us, Nikki looked at me "I can make them forget." she whispered to me, I looked around, it was a good option but with the humans already being seen here and being known by the others still puts them in danger. Erasing their memories might do more harm than good, Tyler began growling and walked out the door, "Scouts are close." he said as closed the front door behind him as he left. "I know you are wondering what just happened, I will try to explain everything and then the choice will be yours to stay with us or we can adjust your memories and you will never see us again.", I told the group as they all stood before us. Sang looked at me and then smiled, "This sounds like it might be interesting, let me guess they are witches." he began as he pointed to Kaylee and Nikki, "And your friend Tyler can talk to animals." he laughed, sarcasm and disbelief evident in his voice. Kaylee rolled her eyes "Sorceresses." she said flatly "Witches are generic and weak, neither of which Nikki or I am." she finished, Sang looked at her and then at me trying to figure out if Kaylee was being serious or sarcastic.

Kaylee and Nikki began chanting and a light mist began forming in the room, it began to lazily waft upward from the floors to the ceiling, "Kaylee and Nikki are sorceresses and Tyler is a werewolf and my siblings and I are vampires." I said plainly. Da-eun and Soo-min burst out into laughter and with that Mimi and Galaxy began to slowly turn into their vampiric forms, their fangs grew and their eyes changed color. The humans stood in the foyer speechless, Tyler then walked in his lupine eyes still shining, Dae-Hyun was the first to break the silence, "How?" was all he uttered. "We were born like this and we are everywhere , integrated into human society, living amongst humans at all levels." I began, "We are run by a Council headed by the strongest members of our race and the Council is governed by a Tribunal, which consists of the oldest and most powerful members of our races." I explained. "But recently an uprising has occurred and members of our Council has decided they want to rule the human race and no longer live amongst them anymore. They believe that as we are more advanced to humans, that we should rule humans, dominate them not bow down to them" I added.

"Our parents were killed because they stood against this movement." I continued explaining, "And now my siblings and I are being hunted as they want to erase or control our vampiric lineage.." I told them, "My brothers Jadenne and Dan their powers of speed and strength surpasses that of most vampires that have lived hundreds of years, Mimi and Galaxy's power for transformation is a secondary power that is possessed mainly by ancients and I am one of only ten vampires that can create vampiric life by turning humans." I added. "Before my parents were killed they were part of the Council and as custom I was promised to Ace as his wife to be, Hades father who is the Alpha of his pack had friends who had power within the Council, and thus he got permission to vie for my hand in marriage to Hades." Tyler growled under his breath when I mentioned tis, "But I refused them both and it caused contention between my family and certain Council members." I continued to explain to our human friends. "The powers my siblings and I possess make us a threat and because we refused to join the uprising and I refused to be married into the Council we have been marked for death."

Jung-Hwa walked up to me, he gently took hold of my hand and asked "What does that do for you and your siblings?" I was taken aback by his reaction and question, I looked at him and answered "It means we run again." I said with a sigh as I looked away, I knew Dan, Jadenne, Mimi and Galaxy were watching me and I wasn't ready to see the looks of disappointment on their faces. They had just made friends their lives were beginning to take on some sense of normalcy. "What about Mimi and Galaxy?" Da-eun and Soomin asked in a concerned tone, "What will we do without them?" I couldn't even look at my siblings or any of the others at that moment. I felt the tears slowly slide down my cheeks, I stood there motionless, quiet with Jung-Hwa still holding onto my hand, how could I be so helpless, I'm betraying my family, my siblings, my dead parents memory.

Everyone is relying on me to keep my family safe, to keep them hidden, to help them integrate and I was failing as their protector as the eldest sibling, I didn't realize how much I was crying until I was my hands and knees on the ground. My siblings ran to where I was on the ground, my mind began to become muddled with worry, confusion and guilt, my vision became blurry and I began to feel my body becoming limp. The last thing I remember was hearing my name being called before everything went dark.

I awoke the next morning to the sun peeking through the curtains of my room and a large gray wolf laying down at the side of my bed, I slowly sat up and the wolf's ears twitched. I swung my legs over the side of the bed and the wolf raised its head and began nuzzling my legs, I scratched its head and the wolf lowered its head back down. "Morning slept well?" I halted as my feet hit the floor, I didn't notice anyone else in the room with me, I turned around wide eyed to be greeted by Tae-Hui's smiling face.
