Separated

Silence fell among the group as they watched in complete horror and disbelief.

Riley became still as his calm countenance faded and he was now consumed with anger. The once majestic demon school filled with demons of all kinds was devastated and violently assaulted. He hadn't been here for long but this was the place that led him to encounter the demons by his side whom he considered very precious. This was their school and the place where his father, the chair and even demon lord Kerr ruled over.

Lincoln whimpered while holding his master close to his chest. Before being placed under the sleeping spell he had seen many fights and wars as it was a common occurrence in those times. However he could tell his young master along with Niklaus, Kai and Louis had never experience this level of destruction before.

The three demon lords were not as inexperienced but even so, it didn't make them less enraged.

"We can no longer stay here, we need to leave now" Vincent said looking at Riley and Riley stared right back.

The poisonous gas was still descending and the ground and walls were collapsing, not to mention the remaining prisoners had their hungry eyes on their surviving group of demons.

"A-are we going to leave them like this?" Kai asked voice broken with sadness.

"We can't!" Louis denied the very idea.

"That's enough! They are dead and we can't give them a burial, we neither have the time nor a way to summon flames" Vincent said to his eldest son.

"A way to summon flames?" Riley whispered.

'Yes, the ability to call forth and control fire is a dangerous yet special ability that only a few possess and even less are able to master it. My little one, you possess such a power' the voice that spoke to him before and told him of his awakening once again made a sudden appearance in his subconscious mind.

'I want it, tell me how do I use it?' Riley asked.

'What is your desire my little one?' The voice asked.

'A beautiful flame, one that burns bright. I want the immaculate flame!' Riley envisioned it and soon enough he could feel his whole body brimming with immense power.

Riley stepped out of Lincoln's embrace and walked to the middle, he placed his hand forth and closed his eyes. When they reopened his eyes resembled a burning Phoenix as yellow-red flames danced with those red ruby eyes.

"Fire burial" Riley said the words and immediately fire ignited from the palm of his hand and engulfed the fallen demons of DarkFall. His flame was bright and beautiful as it covered them leaving nothing behind.

Riley turned to Kai, Louis and Niklaus, " I hope this is to your liking" he smiled warmly at them.

All three demons looked at Riley speechless, until finally Kai stood up and ran into Riley's arms.

"His bloodline ability is fire, why didn't you tell me?" Vincent asked Darien who was just as surprised.

For a half demon to possess that ability…honestly, Darien couldn't help but smile. He was glad to have made this adorable demon his son.

"Kai, Louis, Niklaus and Lincoln I consider you all very important to me. Whenever you need me, I'll be there for you." Riley promised the group of four demons as they looked at him. Something within those ruby red eyes told them he meant every word. They had already put their trust in him without a second thought.

"It's time, we need to go now" Riley said ruffling Kai's purple hair. Kai nodded an okay and released his hold on Riley as he closed his eyes and focused.

A magical circle appeared on the floor encircling the three demon lords and the five young demons.

Suddenly they were pulled into a space and left floating there. They were surrounded by nothingness as they floated in no specific direction.

"Where are we?" Niklaus asked.

"We are nowhere, this is just a space by itself unaffected by time. Think of this as a gateway that you must pass through to get to another side. It must be another dimension if we have to pass through here" Vincent said.

"Yes but I don't think it's that simple. Are they really just going to let us come to them?" Darien replied back as he glanced around.

" I agree, so far they have caused us a lot of trouble and it's obvious our enemy has some kind of motive but for now all we can do is stay calm and stick together" Vincent said.

"I don't think that will be possible.." Kerr said, Darien and Vincent looked at him and he continued, "I just have a bad feeling about this. Listen boys, you five must stay together no matter what happens to me, Vince or my dear Darien. Do you understand?" Kerr cautioned and the boys nodded.

"Niklaus you are a third year and the eldest of the group I expect you to keep the rest of this impulsive, reckless and unpredictable group in check. Don't cause any trouble!" Vincent warned as he glared pointedly at Kai and Riley.

"Well of course, they are my little juniors after all" Niklaus said with a hidden smile.

'My little one, someone is causing a disturbance and another gateway is opening' the voice in Riley's head said.

'Why are they doing that?' Riley asked.

'They are aiming for the three demon lords' the voice informed.

'So are they planning to send the demon lords through another gateway?' Riley pondered.

'You have spoken to me before, who are you?' Riley asked.

'You may call me Percival' the voice replied.

'I don't know where you came from or why I can hear your voice but I will ask you this, can I trust you Percival?'

'Yes my little one' Percival's reply came instantly.

"Another gateway is opening" Riley said informing the others.

Before they could react a sudden bright light blinded them.

Once the light receded and the boys were finally able to open their eyes they all soon realized that within those few seconds all three demon lords vanished.

"I think we have had just about enough surprises for one day" Louis said breaking the silence.

"So what happens now?" Niklaus questioned.

"Don't tell me those idiots who brought us here plan to leave us floating around in this space" Kai angrily said.

"Actually I think we're much safer here than in this other dimension" Louis said.

"For once I agree" Lincoln said.

'Percival can you sense that?' Riley asked as he felt something amiss.

'Yes, it seems that while the demon lords were taken away someone made an appearance. I believe he is our enemy what would you have me do?'

'For now just keep an eye on him I'm curious to know what his intentions are' Riley said.

'As you wish' Percival said as he retreated into the back of Riley's mind.

Suddenly a portal opened up and pulled the boys inside.

The once prestigious demon school DarkFall has been destroyed by prisoners from the prison dimension by the help of an outside force. The three demon lords have been captured and separated from Riley's group and Riley, Louis, Niklaus, Lincoln and Kai are now being sent through a gateway to another dimension.

What will await them.
