It was about 3 p.m. that afternoon when messengers and carriages were sent to the prison cells to fetch the Queen's people and the pirates that were with them.
Jin and Rukia sat in their prison cell, believing they would be spending at least one more day before they would be sure of their fate. It was what they felt; it was what they thought they knew. Given the circumstances, they had learned to expect the worst even in the presence of hope, as they never knew what hurdles life would soon throw at them. Jin latched on to the chest as if his life depended on it, and Rukia kept watchful eyes.
It was about that time that Jin and the others began to hear murmuring and cheers coming from the cells before them, with familiar voices seeming to be on the positive side. The duo looked at themselves in slight confusion, as they did not want to hope it was what they thought it was. That was until Zaraki came forth from the side of the prison bars.
