The attack

Elijah waited for me to get ready for my first day of training. For now, I decided to wear a black sports bra along with tight black sports pants and black comfy sneakers, and I tightened my hair into a messy bun. Now we are both ready to leave the palace, and to start training.

I was informed earlier by Elijah that ' The Hybrid aka me ' is super powerful since it got the strength of both species but not their weaknesses. He also told me that in order to release all my potentials, I have to know my hybrid. How...? By training as I was told.

I kept on following Elijah outside the palace since I don't know where exactly on which side of the planet we are. It is still confidential information to me because it seems that my father doesn't trust me one hundred percent, from what I could tell he believes that I may betray them for my mate at any moment.

If he only knew what this mate did to me, and what his love cost he would never believe in such a thing.

While thinking, I didn't notice that Elijah took my hand in his until he started running while using his vampire super speed. I got to tell you that it's my first time running in the snowy woods with super speed, and it looks really fascinating. It was just as if the whole world had stopped for us while we were passing through.

After running for a while, we stopped in the middle of the frozen woods, where I believe that no human can survive while wearing the kind of clothes I am wearing now. Lucky me, I am a Hybrid – So yeah.. I will survive.

I looked at Elijah, and he gave me an apologetic smile, then he said '' Good luck'' before he vanished, and I was left alone in the woods. The whole thing gives me a déjà vu feeling since Elijah is that kind of person that may leave without any sort of warnings, but not in a kinda situation. I guess it's just one of his stupid jokes, I called him not wanting to play this hide and seek game no more '' Elijah!'' '' Where are you?'' I stood still waiting for him to show up, but he was still nowhere to be seen. I stumped my feet as a sign of annoyance, then I called him again '' This is not funny, you know? You better stop this Elijah.''

Again, no answer was heard from him. I kept on waiting until I was sure that he had left me alone - outside, where no single person was there ' I will currently kill him the moment I see him' I promised to myself while trying to walk back to the palace. I was trying my best to remember the way back, but it was all the same. After all it's the woods, and all the ways seemed to be the same to me.

While trying to find my way back, I felt a weird sensation. My whole body was feeling anxious, it was as if a danger was nearby. I tried to slow down my pace, to make sure that no one was following me. I certainly feel that someone was following me, but I can see who this person was.

I deep inside start wishing if it is one of Elijah's games. While walking a voice inside of my head screamed '' Your left! '' Unconsciously, I turn right away facing my left side to be surprised by someone who's not Elijah moving fast toward me. I dodge away using my supernatural speed. I turned around to see who my attacker was, but I was surprised for a second time by not finding anyone. I stand still waiting to try to analyze the entire situation, but I was lost. I did not even know where I was or what I should do. Would it be better if I ran, or would I do better by staying here and fighting back?

As I was thinking, the same voice from before screamed inside of my head for a second '' turn around! '' Like the first time, I unconsciously turned around to find the same person from moving faster than before toward me. I dodged again away from his second attack. This I started feeling anger running through my veins.

I shout louder '' Show yourself - you piece of shit.'' I stand still waiting for any sort of reaction, but no one comes, then I shouted again '' Afraid ah?? Want to play hide-and-seek? Alright, I'm going to find it by myself, and make sure you don't get out of here alive.'' I don't know from where I got this much confidence, but deep inside I believed that I could handle this without anyone's help - including Elijah. It's all my fault, why the hell I trusted Elijah? Why did I even follow him here? I promise that I will make him pay the moment I see his shitty face.

Once again, the same voice screamed '' turn to your right!'' This I turned to my right not to dodge away, but to fight back. I ran toward my attacker at the same super-speed he was using. But before I could even reach to him, he disappeared.

But not for too long, since an invisible power threw me in the air toward a bunch of the trees. I heard the sound of my bones cracking along with the destroyed tree branches. I believe that both my eyes were brooking now. Lucky me, they started to heal instantly. I stand up, terrified of the fact of facing an invisible enemy. Just by then, a mighty vampire stood in front of me, the same one who had just attacked me.
