21 Soul eggs

As the three boys made their way into the forest they encountered various soul beasts. The deeper they went the stronger the soul beasts became. At one point they came across a thousand-year-old snow white eagle. It was definitely stronger than the other soul beasts.`

"How can it be this strong?" Long Yue asked.

"I don't know. All I know is that we have to kill it as soon as possible or we won't have enough time to find me a soul jewel." Wang Wei said.

"Hey, guys! Isn't it suspicious as to how this soul beast is fighting it's like it's leading the battle away from where we started." Lee Zheng said.

"Yeah, you're right." Long Yue said.

"Okay, guys. Let's find out why. I think you are also done playing around right?" Wang Wei said.

"Yeah. Let's find out why." Long Yue said as he brandished his holy claws.

At the same time, Lee Zheng and Wang Wei their soul jewels began to light up. Wang Wei paralyzed the bird and Lee Zheng used his wing slash soul technique to send knife sharp streaks of air to the bird and slice of its wings. As the bird fell to the ground it was still alive but not for long as Long Yue swung at the falling bird. The next moment the bird was decapitated.

"Okay, let's go and search for the reason this bird wanted to lure us away from this place." Wang Wei said while they arrived at the place where they first encountered the snow white eagle.

After searching for fifteen minutes Lee Zheng suddenly called out. "Hey, guys! I think I found it." He said while he descended back to the ground. He was using his soul form to fly and search the trees while Wang Wei and Long Yue were searching the ground.

"Really? What did you find?" Wang Wei asked.

"Hold on I will get it." Lee Zheng said as he ascended once more.

"What do you think it is?" Long Yue asked Wang Wei.

"I don't know but it'll probably be something good if it let a holy falcon fight so hard for it." Wang Wei replied.

A few minutes later Lee Zheng came back down with something behind his back.

"Well? Show us what you got." Long Yue said.

"Okay, okay, calm down." Lee Zheng said.

He showed what he was holding behind his back.

"These are soul eggs!" Wang Wei exclaimed.

Lee Zheng was holding three soul eggs with a big smile on his face.

"How awesome is this? Three snow white eagle soul eggs we're rich one for each. We can each choose what to do. For me, I think I will hold on to it and give it to my clan. The snow-white eagle soul form is a soul form that has been passed down for generations. If we are able to tame the snow white eagle that will hatch from this we can use it as our clan guardian." Lee Zheng said.

"That is amazing." Long Yue said. "You probably already know this but the holy leopard soul form is a high-grade soul form that has also been passed down in my clan. But even though the snow white eagle is a strong soul form your clan doesn't have that much influence. That is because it doesn't have much to offer. If I remember correctly only you and your grandfather are soul experts. Right?"

"Yeah." Lee Zheng answered.

"In my clan, there are a lot of soul experts and even those that can't cultivate soul energy are skilled martial artists." Long Yue continued. "This is why my clan has a lot of influence in our village. My clan even has some influence in our region. This is because I come from a powerful clan. If you can tame that snow white eagle your clan will probably gain more influence in the village and region. You will have more time to get children that can cultivate soul energy. That way your clan will become even stronger."

"Yeah!" Lee Zheng said with a determined look on his face. "What are you gonna do with your egg?" He then asked Wang Wei.

"I think I will sell it that way my clan won't have any troubles for the next year since these go for a lot of money. I mean if I win this tournament I can also help my clan out. Since I am from a fairly small clan we don't have a lot of expenses. The clan head will be very happy if I won this. Next, to the clan head, I am one of few in my clan to be able to cultivate soul energy that is why they already are proud of me. I want to give them a good life. If I manage to be able to cultivate to a high level all the worries my clan might have right now will disappear all at once."

"Come to think of it. I don't even know which clan you are from." Long Yue said. "I mean I know Lee Zheng comes from the snow white eagle clan and I come from the holy leopard clan. But I still don't know which clan you're from."

"Yeah, me neither." Lee Zheng said.

"I am from the red fire-dragon clan. It is named that way because my ancestor who founded our clan was a strong soul expert with a red fire-dragon soul form. And every one-thousand years there is one person born into our clan with the red fire-dragon soul form and bring glory to our clan for a few centuries but after that, it will fall back down to the ground. I am able to cultivate soul energy even though I have the red snake soul form. I am going to take this opportunity to show my clan that even the weak can become strong." Wang Wei said.

"I heard of that clan in ancient tales." Long Yue said. "It is said that your clan once was one of the strongest on the planet but when it was hit by a catastrophe it became one of the weakest. I don't know what catastrophe though."

"They were attacked by demons. At least that is what my clan head says." Wang Wei said. "He told me they were demons from the hell dimension. And it was our family that sealed off the hell dimension but it came at a terrible price. Almost all of the soul-experts in the clan were killed by the demons. And we still have to live with the consequences to this day."

"Wow. I never knew such an amazing clan lived in our victory village." Lee Zheng said.

"Yeah well, what's in the past is in the past. For now, I can only look toward the future and try to make the best out of it." Wang Wei said.

"And you, Long Yue. What are you gonna do with your egg?" Lee Zheng asked.

"I don't know. I think I will give it to my family and let them decide what to do with it." Long Yue replied.

"We should go back and give these to teacher Li Yun so that there is no chance we lose them." Wang Wei said.

"That's not a problem." Long Yue said as he brought out a storage bracelet.

"Wow. Only the richest clans can afford those." Lee Zheng said.

"I know but my family gives one to all the direct descendants when they go on an adventure." Long Yue said as he stored the eggs away.

"Let's keep going." He told Wang Wei.

"Okay, let's go get me a second soul jewel." Wang Wei said.
