Justice is Born

["Headset Data is being read, please create your character while you wait."]

Vivian was immediately given a projected version of herself. Next to it were sliders that she instantly noticed moved with her thoughts.

"This seems pretty sweet. Can I just imagine my look? Oh damn..."

She looked again, crimson eyes staring back. They gleamed with a soft light, showing purity. Her own blue eyes were saddened as she saw that softness.

Vivian watched as her blond hair shortened to her shoulders, then darkened until it was shadowy black. The features softened, but came to a certain sharpness depicting strength.

"Well she's prettier than me... by a lot. What else should I change?"

Before long, she shrank down the bust a little as well as grew out the back side. She smiled, noticing the race and class tabs had appeared.

"I think being human would be safe, especially joining in late. Now, I'm decent in a melee... but I'd rather protect others. Let's see..."

Vivian tapped on the Fighter class, a short sword and buckler appearing in her avatars hands. A leather tunic formed around her skin. A small breastplate appeared, as well as gauntlets and greaves.

"Ah. Fighter can upgrade at high enough levels. So I can be a Paladin, a Berserker or a Royal Knight depending on affiliation and my choices. Aren't there secret classes too? Rogues can become Ninjas at some point, though it's really hard to do."

Vivian reached for the confirm button when a new message appeared.

["Welcome back, Admin. Please set your name."]

Her first thought appeared in the blank space, confirming before she could react.

"Wait, Admin? I'm just a player!"

["Welcome back, Admin Justice. Please rest easy as you are transported into Relian Online!"]

The area around Vivian began to warp, her eyes following her own body as it became Justice's. Her voice came out softer, more feminine.

"What's going on?"

The warp had stopped, cracking around her. When it shattered, she blinked slowly as pain wracked her body. Wanting to scream, she bit down on her lip until it faded.

"Huh. So this girl is the one that's being set free today? Her majesty must be mistaken to set free someone so obviously evil."

Justice looked up, unable to stand. She was bound to the floor, barely able to move. Her armor was missing, as well as her weapon and shield.

'This can't be right. Shouldn't I be headed into town first thing? I'm not a prisoner...'

She looked up as two guards drew closer, their faces sneers of hatred as she was dragged to her feet.

"Should've taken the chance to try her out before it came to this. Girls barely a puppet at this point."

She attempted to struggle, feeling the weakness in her body to an extent she wasn't prepared for. She was unable to resist as they pulled her from the cell, the sunlight from above burning her skin slightly.

'How long have I been in this prison? My skin is so weak to sunlight.'

Stumbling, Justice could only watch as the guards shoved her through the doorways. The further they moved her, the more grand the building became... and the more blood she left behind.

Blinking wildly, a red bar appeared in the top left of her field of vision. It was heavily depleted with a few red markers below it. As she stared, Justice could tell what each was.

'Restrained. Bleeding. Weakness. Mute. Curse. No wonder I'm in such bad shape.'

She tried to look around, but her body refused to listen. Slowly, she could tell something would happen to her that could make or break her game experience.

"Wh..."

Unable to even speak properly, she finally was lifted from the ground and set down. She was hunched over, bowing to someone sitting in a throne she couldn't see.

"So this is the one we had sealed away? To think they look this pitiful. Make her look at me."

Justice was forced to look up, her eyes forced to stare upon the woman she had heard speak. She was covered in magnificent jewels and expensive furs.

'Oh no... the Queen is a bitch.'

She got to her feet, her dress trailing behind her as she approached Justice.

"Girl, I need you to... why are you looking at me like that?"

Unable to speak, Justice could only blink. She couldn't see her face currently, so she knew not what she looked like to the Queen.

"Forgive me, my Queen. She err... fell a few times. Broke her jaw and nose."

"Then why hasn't she been healed?! I need this girl for a reason!"

"Fetch a healer!"

Two men booked it, the door slamming behind them. Justice blinked slowly, still not sure what was happening.

'This game is a torture sequence.'

"Whatever, girl, I need you to do me a favor. I'll owe you a lot, but as you are one of the beings from the other world, I can't give you much. The most I'll guarantee, your life."

Justice just stared, though she was now capable of being visibly confused.

"I want you to destroy the kingdom led by your kind. To ensure you do not betray me, you'll wear this."

The Queen placed a choker on Justice, a notification appearing as it was placed.

[The Queen of the human kingdom, Rhost, wishes to make you her slave. Due to your status as Admin and Player, this is not possible. Slave collar will be shattered.]

Immediately, the collar burst into particles. Justice was able to smile slightly, knowing she dodged a bullet.

'Thank you privileges of status!'

The Queen could only glare. She didn't understand why it hadn't worked, nor could she find out.

"Kill her. Put up wanted posters of her. Their ability to revive disgusts me, but we have to deal with it."

Justice was unable to scream as four spears were shoved through her torso. They were then ripped out, her body fading into particles.

'Rhost huh? I'll make sure you get burned down.'

As her face vanished, she threw one last smile towards the Queen of Rhost.
