2 Chapter 2 - Suffering of a Big Leopard

Levi stood in the periphery of the forest while silently feeling the changes happening within his body. As someone who was born and had the best education possible given by his father who is one of the leading World Nobles, he's not unknown to many things of the world.

He knows both Devil Fruits and Haki, but Levi had never heard of a Devil Fruit that actually introduced itself. Most users have to know its functions through time, and he also never heard of a Mythical Logia. There are Mythical Zoans, but no one ever heard of Mythical Logias.

However, his excitement didn't die down because of the unknown. Instead, Levi was very excited, what was the prospect of the Water Water Fruit? You control, manipulate, and produce water! Nearly the entire world is made of water!

World Nobles weren't as useless as they seemed to the outside world, just taking advantage of their privileges. Of course, many of them were useless, but the true leaders were strong enough to deserve their status. Otherwise, the World Government and the Marine wouldn't obey them.

Stretching his hands forward, as if by instinct, Levi's body slowly became a blue liquid like water, and moved through the air. In the very next moments he ate the Devil Fruit, Levi could already think of many ways to use it. Even within the World Noble's geniuses, he was the leading figure.

He is very talented, principally on the way of a swordsman. Even the World Government and Marine leaders genuinely praised him, and not just because of his status as a World Noble, but because his talent was truly outstanding.

He had just started his training as a World Noble, and was already abandoned by them, which was something considered unlucky. However, Levi didn't think so, 'Without them watching me at every moment, I'll be freer to train.'

Because the World Nobles way of training is different, they start when they are 16. [A/N: For convenience, Levi is 17y old and is the same age as Luffy.]

Perhaps he would progress faster with the guidance of the old ones, but Levi felt very uncomfortable having his every progress marked by them. It wasn't like they were proud, but that they felt happy of a tool growing up. Levi knows his own talents very well, and was smart enough to hide his progress from the 'pig raisers'.

His dark blue eyes wandered through the forest and laid on the only sword left by his mother. It is called Suijin, and it doesn't lose to any of the 12 Supreme Swords, its blade is blue like water, and white markings like waves were carved in it. Levi had used it more than once, but as he held it again, it felt completely different.

If before, he just felt it was an extremely good sword, now it was like he was welcoming his own child. Of course, Levi doesn't really know if that is the correct feeling because he never had children.

With calm eyes, Levi slowly set foot in the forest. He wasn't planning to call for Marine Rescue soon, but get familiar with his newly gained strength, and then train his fruit and sword. After eating the Water-Water Fruit, Levi's physique was strengthened and there were many ideas lying quietly in his mind.

He was a sword edge who needed to be sharpened, but Levi wasn't afraid. Throughout his childhood, he was different from other World Nobles, who despised the ones with lower status. His father once commented that he was someone born with the mind of a leader, different from ordinary people.

''It's time to see if I'm just a useless pig, or a tiger...'' Levi muttered while hiding the Den Den Mushi and marking the place with his sword, and not long before he entered the forest, a strong growl was transmitted to his ears.

The air around him shifted as a big leopard suddenly pounced towards him, but Levi didn't mean to dodge at all. As its huge claws brushed through his body, water splashed like a fountain, drenching the ground filled with grasses.

It was a big leopard whose body height and length was at least two times bigger than Levi, meaning that both the height and length of the big leopard was at least 3,60 meters! [A/N: At least 11'8'']

Levi entered his elemental form, which made him immune to the leopard's attacks! His lips curled up after seeing such a result, despite expecting it. Levi then deactivated it, as the big leopard looked at him warily, wondering why its fierce attack didn't work.

''Aren't you a cute big cat? Let's play a bit, yes?'' Levi said with a small smile, and entered a Sword Stance. It was the Howard Stance, taught to him by his father, and it was said that his father once had a draw with the strongest swordsman - Mihawk!

It was as if the big leopard could understand his mocking, as it roared with great anger. His eardrums were slightly uncomfortable after such a loud roar, but Levi smiled slightly. This kind of beast was naturally different from the ones raised by his family to train him.

Someone trained without real combat would only become harmless flowers, but someone trained with fierce, real combat that would push their bodies to their limits would naturally develop thorns on the beautiful cover that is the flower. At the moment it needed to fight, thorns would pierce the attacker.

Of course, Levi is currently a harmless flower. As the paw collided with his sword, the feeling of cutting through flesh wasn't felt, but a strong force rushed towards him, sending him flying before hitting a tree. However, Levi survived without any scratch, despite receiving a solid scratch! The big leopard was wary, Suddenly, it saw that Levi slowly raised his sword, and a deep voice came out of his mouth, ''Ittoryu: Wate-''

Before he could finish his sentence, a paw connected to his face, and he was sent flying away.

Looking at the sky as a red paw print was engraved on his face, Levi doubted life before standing up, 'Forget it, I should attack first and just say the attack after finishing it. Also attack faster, it would be a bit embarrassing to be defeated before even attacking...'

With determination, his dark blue eyes seemed to shine as they looked over the big leopard, who unconsciously trembled. It seemed to stare directly at the darkest depths of the ocean.
