19 Side-Story LF[2]: The Flow Cult

-Five months after the mass kidnapping- -=GBIR Kry City Chief=-

\Plot: GBIR is Global Bureau of Investigative Resources.\

"There's a what?"

"There is a flash flood in the same area the mass kidnapping happened."

"It was rhetorical..."

'Hah... first a kidnapping now a flash flood? Does nature hate us too? For fuck sake, this'll be a tiresome few months.'

I kept working as I received report after report of that damned cult helping people in the flash flood, advertising their antics as a religion! Can you fucking believe them? These fuckers make 2,500 people disappear and then they come in like heroes during a natural disaster. What bullshit!

Granted, I admit it IS clever, but 2.5k lives is not a small number. It never will be.

The door suddenly burst open and a man ran in shouting.

"CHIEF, CHIEF, THEY'RE BROADCASTING!"

"WHAT!?"

"The Flow Cult is broadcasting on all channels!"

I immediately turned on the monitor in the room, changing it until a channel they were on appeared.

\Plot: The TV will be [Insert Speaking Here] for the duration of this chapter.\

[Hello citizens of the Kylias Country. We are the Flow Religion, we worship the Goddess, Fluens, and while you might believe we are cultists because of the mass kidnapping incident, however, I'd like to clear that up because it wasn't us.

You might not believe us but I understand. The reason those who did the mass kidnapping are similar to us is because we worship the same Goddess. The 'cultists', however, while as fanatical as us, are much more violent.

In the name of the Goddess, I swear that we will never do anything similar to those on the other side of our spectrum. The reason for our difference is a simple difference in interpretation of our Goddess' creed. The creed is as follows:

"Protect and show mercy but do not hesitate if you must kill to survive."

We, the 'Religion', take a passive stance and do not believe we need to kill to survive as long as we work.

The others, the 'cult', believe that they must take the power for themselves to be taken seriously.

That is all, thank you for your time.]

I dropped the remote a while ago as I stared blankly at the screen that turned off.

I held my forehead and spoke slowly and hesitantly.

"Well, shit just got a hell of a lot more confusing..."
