Watchmen of the Gods (Ragnarok)

Bjørn Seier didn't know what moving to Edda with his family would bring into his life. It certainly wasn't anything to do with Norse Gods and a pre-made destiny. But sometimes you don't have much of a choice when you are dragged kicking and screaming into a world once thought of as a myth. Now apart of something greater then he ever imagined, will Bjørn fulfil his destiny...or will he just move to a new town and forget anything happened? This is a fanfiction of the Netflix show "Ragnarok". The MC is not Transmigrated or a reincarnated person from our world. He is a fictional character born in that world and dose not know the future events of the world. I do not own any of the characters in this fanfiction but my own and any others of my creation. Everything else belongs to their own creators.

Lunch & A new friend

The rest of class went by smoothly, as I lost myself in the history of Norse Mythology.

The girl I had been sitting by didn't say anything else to me the entire class, which was fine by me.

I was too lost in the history lesson to acknowledge much else.

What can I say, I've always been a pretty big history buff.

Especially when it came to anything related to Norse mythology.

After what didn't seem very long, the school's bell rang, Signifying the end of the class.

Closing up my journal, I stuffed it into my bag before exiting the classroom.

As I left, I nodded at Magne, who was standing by his desk putting his things into his bag.

As I looked at him, I saw the pink hue of his cheeks and the 'not so subtle' glances he was sending to his blond desk partner.

'it seems Magne had a bit of a crush.' I thought with a small audible laugh.

From there, I headed to my math class, which was down the long hallway at the very end.

Math was…well…math. It sucked, and was a class I wished would end sooner rather than later.

But after a mind numbing hour, and a few crossed eyes, the class was over.

Which was good, because my next class period was my second favorite class.

Physical education and health.

This class was held on the ground floor by the exit of the building which led to the track and fields.

Once inside the class, we were directed to the locker rooms where we were told about the needed clothes that we would need to bring to school for the class.

We were also asked to sign a form if we had any medical conditions that would keep us from participating in any physical exercises, or could put you at risk.

After that, the male teacher went over what to expect for the rest of the year and his goals for us to achieve.

By the time he finished the bell was ringing, signifying lunch.

Since I was on the ground floor already, all I and the rest of my class had to do was walk down the hall, and we were in the open cafeteria.

As I looked around, I watched as the tables filled up quickly with groups of friends and clicks.

I didn't see Magne or Laurits yet, so I decided to take a seat at a small sitting area off to the side, where there was a table I could use.

I took the outside seat, and dropped my bag at my feet as I unzipped it.

As I was hunched over, I heard a bag being set on the small table.

Looking up, I saw the girl I had been seated with me in first period standing there.

"oh…hey." I said with an anxious smile.

"Hey." She said, seemingly not hearing the anxiety in my voice, as she sat and started to remove journals from her bag.

Shrugging, I pulled out a water bottle then a paper sack from my bag.

As I did so, I saw her glance up at what I was doing.

"You know the water is dangerous right?" He asked, looking up from her work.

I glanced down at my water bottle.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

She leaned on the table with her elbows and pointed her pen at the water bottle.

"The fjord, where the town gets their water, it's completely contaminated with chemicals dumped by Jutul industries." she said, a crease appearing at her brow.

I frowned.

"If that was so, wouldn't the government do something about it?" I asked, slowly pushing my bottle to the side, at least until I figured out if this girl was telling the truth, or if she was just some nut case spewing nonsense.

"Why do something about it when you could simply do nothing yet have your pockets lined with bribes the Jutuls will pay for you to look the other way." she asked, raising a brow at me.

I nodded at her words.

Over the past few years there have been more than a few cases coming to light about those in power taking hefty bribes from the wealthiest in Norway.

I again smiled slightly as I put my hand out.

"Bjørn Seier." I said.

She smirked at me for a second before dropping her pen then shaking my hand.

"Isolde. Isolde Müller." she said as we shook hands.

My hand practically swallowed hers whole.

"jeeze." Isolde said as we separated hands with a laugh.

"I didn't realize how much bigger you are compared to the rest of us." she added.

I shrugged with a smirk.

"we get that a lot"

She nodded her head.

"That's right. You have a brother right?" she asked.

"Two actually." her eyes widened slightly.

"really?"

I nodded.

"yup. My twin brother Magne and my younger brother Laurits."

Just as I said those words, the figure of my twin caught my attention from the corner of my eye.

Turning to look at him, I saw him standing by the entrance of the cafeteria awkwardly for a moment, glancing off to the side.

Following his view, I saw him looking at that same blond girl he had sat with in the first period of school.

As I looked at her, I saw she had short blond hair that just reached her shoulders, and light blue eyes.

"It looks like your brother has something for Gry." Isolde said, breaking me from my thoughts.

I glanced at her.

"Ah, so I'm not the only one who noticed." I asked with a smile.

"Far from it." She said, nodding back at the table Gry was at.

Looking back, I saw the table Gry was seated with notice Magnes glances and started to laugh at him.

At first a rush of anger snapped through me, before I stomped it out quickly.

Grabbing my bag, I set it on the chair next to me.

"I will be right back." I said as I stood, my body and mind on autopilot.

I don't know what caused me to do this, just that it felt wrong to let Magne stand there like that and let those kids laugh at him.

Normally, I would have just tried to wave him over, while staying as inconspicuous as possible to avoid the gazes of the table.

But now I felt as if I couldn't have given a crap.

I made my way to Magne, who had only been standing there for less than fifteen seconds.

"Hey Magne, why don't you come sit with us?" I asked, gesturing at the table by the stairs, distracting him from the audible laughs coming from the table, which had noticeably decreased once I had gotten close to Magne.

He looked at me for a moment before nodding his head.

"sure." He said, giving me a small smile as he passed me.

Letting him walk past me, I turned to follow while giving the table a look over, where I saw them all looking at me, now completely quiet.

'That's strange?' I thought before following Magne.

Reaching the table, I sat first on the inside chair of the table, to allow Magne to have the outside chair.

As we sat, I grabbed my paper bag and took out the tuna sandwich that was inside.

While Magne took out his full sized paper sack.

"Magne, this is Isolde. She's in our history class." I said, taking a bite of my sandwich.

Magne looked up shyly at her and nodded with a small smile before pulling out his mountain sized bread and cheese sandwiches.

"Woah. First your brother trys to drink Eddas poisoned water, and now you trying to kill yourself with all that." Isolde said in astonishment, but with a smile.

Magne gave her a weak smile.
