The Killing Chip

Outside Professor Jason's office, Joe struggled to stay awake as he waited anxiously for a response from within. Despite his efforts to listen in on the conversation, not a single word reached his ears. Joe wasn't particularly interested in gossip; his concern lay with Brandon's well-being. He was on high alert, ready to assist Brandon in getting transferred to a proper medical facility if necessary.

After what felt like an eternity, the door finally creaked open. Joe spun around, eager to see Brandon's condition, only to find him standing there looking perfectly healthy and fully dressed.

"Oh, there you are. I'm glad to see you're still among the living," Joe remarked, eyeing Brandon up and down.

Ignoring Joe's comment, Brandon spoke up, "There's something I need you to see."
