I Have Something For You

"Since you're done eating you should get dressed," Alex informed his girlfriend. "We're heading out soon. Whatever you wear, be sure not to put any makeup on."

That was a strange request. "Any particular reason why?"

"You'll see!"

Okay then. Claire got off the bed and they headed downstairs to put the dishes away and find a vase for the daisies. If she wasn't supposed to wear makeup, it probably didn't matter if she was a little more casual but she still wanted to look nice. She put on a pair of dark wash jeans, a nice long-sleeved blouse, and black ankle booties.

When she came downstairs she saw Alex was also wearing jeans and a button-down shirt. She grabbed her purse once she saw the babysitter was here and he was giving her instructions on what Ethan wasn't allowed to do, what to feed him, and when to put him to bed. It seemed that they truly would be gone all day. What was he planning?
