I HATE YOU!

Karli looked over at Cody with obvious questions in her eyes as the Jorgensen children continued arguing about middle names. She whispered, "How do you know all of these kids?"

"They were my former foster siblings of sorts," he replied truthfully. "All of them but two stayed in contact with Alex and Claire after getting adopted. They were really little and not attached to the others so their social workers didn't feel the need to keep them in contact. Or so I've been told."

She frowned. "I didn't realize the two of them were so involved. Isn't is fairly unlikely that they would be able to find everyone again once they were split up in foster care?"

Cody had no idea how those sorts of things worked. All he knew was that Alex got them out personally and must have done something to help keep them together. He had always been a resourceful one.
