Men are beasts

Doubt.

That was the only thing that was in the eyes of the people looking at me after I said this.

But the one that hurt the most was Lin Li Zi.

It was the worst way that a little sister could look at a big brother…

So with a cough, I said, "Li ZI, you have to remember that when a man chases a woman, he has to be shameless to succeed. What I did just now wasn't even considered as shameless as you might think."

Lin Li Zi just gave a nod before turning her head away slightly.

This made me panic a bit since it seemed like this little sister of mine looked like she was disappointed in me.

So I quickly said, "But what I did was just a demonstration of what men can do. You have to remember that all men are beasts, so you have to be careful not to be tricked by them in the future."

Lin Li Zi turned back to give a nod and the look of disappointment in her eyes faded a bit, but it was still there.

It seemed that for now, there was nothing that I could do to convince her otherwise…

So instead, I said, "Don't you want a big sister too in the future?"

Slowly, Lin Li Zi's eyes lit up and she gave a nod as she thought about what would happen if she could have a big sister.

With this, I let out a secret sigh of relief.

At the very least, I had managed to fool her.

While I was talking to Lin Li Zi, there was a certain person who was looking at me with a strange gaze.

As Elder Tian looked at Lin Fan, there was a strange and complicated look that was in his eyes.

"This kid…he really is shameless with the way that he makes crazy demands and acts with the sect master, but that isn't a bad thing. After a while, Elder Tian gave a sigh as he thought, "The only problem now is that his cultivation is just too weak. Will he be able to match the sect master like this?"

As I was trying to convince Lin Li Zi of my innocence, the other people around slowly came back to their senses.

They had been shocked by what had happened, but they realized that didn't matter right now since there was something more important to do.

Not only did this rich young master's method get accepted by the sect master, he had even become the sect master's disciple just like there. There was nothing that seemed capable of stopping him from doing whatever he wanted.

The most important thing was…it seemed like he really didn't lack money!

So they all went back to trying to become his lackey after this.

But there were no spots left for them.

The six of them were caught off guard when they heard this, but they quickly revealed excited looks.

The others all revealed disappointed looks, but not a single one of them dared to say anything.

After all, Lin Fan's new status was not normal.

Even if they were to join the Falling Star Sect in the future, they would have to be wary of him since he was the sect master's disciple now. That meant that if he wanted to cause trouble for them, they wouldn't be able to resist if he really meant it.

So they could only listen to him even if they were unhappy about the results.

When the six of them came over, they quickly bowed and said, "Young master!"

When I saw them like this, I gave a satisfied nod before tossing ten low grade spirit stones at each of them and saying, "Very good, a tip for all of you!"

All of them revealed excited looks before saying in unison, "Thank you, young master!"

I gave another satisfied nod as I took a closer look at these six.

There were three boys and three girls chosen, giving it a perfect balance between my lackeys.

As for the reason why I had chosen them…

It was simply because they hadn't backed down when Liu Ao Xue had appeared.

When everyone else backed down because they were scared of being implicated, these six had remained where they were. They were the ones that weren't afraid of going down with me, so of course they should be rewarded for their loyalty.

Though I couldn't help feeling that it was lucky that there were six of them that had remained.

Otherwise, I would have had to pick from the rest and I really didn't want to do that.

They had already betrayed me once, so it was very likely that they would betray me again if something dangerous appeared.

I didn't need people like that as my lackey.

Once they had been chosen, I turned to Elder Tian and said, "Shall we go to the sect? I don't think there's anything else we need to do here, right?"

When I said this, Elder Tian was pulled out of his thoughts.

He looked at me for a bit before slowly giving a nod.

But before we went, he turned to the others and said, "Take the test if you want, the gate's right there."

Without caring about the rest of the people that had come to take the test, he put away all of the spirit stones that I had dropped on the ground and said to me, "Alright, let's take you and your people to the sect."

I gave a nod before waiting to see what kind of amazing technique Elder Tian would use to bring us there.
