Chapter 8: trouble.

Kai looked at the lady who was called lady chow, he could see the apprehensive look on the lady, since this company belongs to the Xue clan after all, so how can she go against the company's young master.

" young master, since this is an auction house, the highest bidder takes all". The lady said to reassure kai, since she could see the helpless expression on kai.

" ohh, you mean if i outbid your company young master, i will still get the treasure?". Kai asked the lady.

"Yes young master."

Kai was happy to hear that cause he knew he couldn't let the wooden gate land in anyone's hands. This treasure was too important, too valuable, to fall into the wrong hands. So he took a deep breath and made his move, " I bid forty low grade spiritual stones". He said to the lady.

" how dare a country bumpkin go against me". Xue jian shouted at Kai.

" young master Xue jian, this is an auction house, the highest bidder takes all and the clan head already informed us that no one is exceptional to these rules, even you?". The lady quickly replied to the young Xue master.

Xue jian became helpless, since the order came from his father and he knows he can't go against his father, so he decided to pour it all out on Kai.

" Hmm, I shall let you have it and keep it for me for now, because no one can have whatever I Xue jian desire." He said to Kai before walking away from him with anger.

Kai looked at the young master, he felt threatened, and in his mind he had already seen the young master as a dead man. He will not show mercy to those who threaten him or his loved one's.

" young master, here is the treasure you buy". The lady handed over the wooden gate to Kai while he also paid up before walking to the second floor of the building, since this is where the main auctions will take place.

After two hours the main auction was about to start, Kai watched in awe as expert after expert stepped into the building. He was able to get one of the VIP rooms in the auction house so he could see most of the people coming in while people outside couldn't see him.

He saw the young master of the Xia clan, the Ling clan , and even some members of the celestial sect were present. Also there were some cultivators that belong to no organization but they have quite the reputation present.

After five minutes , everyone settled down, and the auction started. A middle aged man, with a heavy aura walked on the stage.

" Hello everyone, my name is Xue Yan, and I will be your auctioneer today cause there are too many valuable treasures to be auctioned out, I'm sure you all knows the rule, the highest bidder takes all, and no one can oppress others with there power or background in here". He spoke to everyone on the seat and his voice carried a heavy momentum, with this everyone knows that he is a very strong expert.

A lady walked to the stage with a tray covered in red cloth, " our first auction for today this beautiful jade pendant, this pendant was appraised by our clan lord, and it's a defensive treasure that can withstand an attack of a peak mortal realm expert, the starting bid is 100 low grade spiritual stone". Immediately he dropped the starting bid everybody started calling out their bid.

The auction goes on for six hours, and many treasures have been auctioned out, but none of the treasure interests Kai at all. So he was only watching everything with a bored expression. Not until the middle man's voice rang out again. " We are about to auction the last and most important treasure for today's auction, there are three items in total".

Kai sits right and watches the scene on the stage with pure interest and curiosity.

The first treasure was a sword, it was a gleaming, silver blade that shimmered in the light, with an intricately carved hilt. " this is an immortal grade sword and it has a soul in it, but the most interesting part about this sword is it history, it was said to be the sword of the greatest warrior of the ancient time, Jian wushuang, I'm sure most of you have heard the rumors about him before. The starting bid is 4 million low grade spiritual stones and there will be a 500 thousand increase in each bid".

Immediately lots of great figures started bidding.

And finally the sword was sold to the young master of the Xia clan at the price of 15 million low grade spiritual stone.

The second treasure was lotus flower, it has seven petals and these petals have star's shining on them. Immediately Kai set his eye on this lotus, his body trembled a little.

He knows he has to get this lotus, if he manages to absorb this lotus to temper his body, he will become stronger.

" this lotus is called luminous star lotus, it has seven petals that contain abundant star energy, it is said that whoever absorbs this lotus will gain enlightenment and also strengthen their body greatly, the starting bid for it is 10 million low grade spiritual stone". The auctioneer said out loud.

Immediately everyone started bidding, but when the bid reached 20 million low grade spiritual stones, only five people were left bidding.

"I Xia Yong bid 23 million for this treasure, I hope everyone can give my Xia clan a face".

I Wei Tao of the celestial sect bid 25 million for this treasure"

Everybody exclaimed in surprise upon hearing the Wei Tao, he was a popular core disciple of the celestial sect, they were surprised because the core disciples of a sect rarely come out, they are either in seclusion or out on a mission.

" fellow disciples, I already inform you all that you can't use your background to intimidate others, if you want to win the treasure then bid higher". Xue yan who was the auctioneer, said out loud with a terrifying aura that made everybody shook to their spine.

" there will not be any more warnings, and if anyone does that again we will have to offend you by sending you out of here".

"Back to the bidding, anymore bidder?". He said.

Kai was surprised to see how the man controlled the whole situation by just showing his strength, and this opened his eyes more because it shows the importance of having strength in the world.

27 million, a man called out from another VIP room. Hearing this voice everyone knows who it was.

"Is that not, old man black snake?"

It is said that this man was a strong Lone cultivator, and he is very vengeful in nature also he is a poison practitioner.

Kai couldn't explain what drew him to it, but he knew that he had to have it. He has learned to always trust his instincts.

" We actually don't know what this scroll contained, cause no one was able to open it, not even our Xue clan ancestor."

Everybody became interested, while some made up their mind to get it no matter what.

" These mysterious scrolls will be sold to the highest bidder, and who knows the bidder might be the fated one who can open this scroll, so the starting price is 50 million low grade spiritual stones, and there will be 1 million increase to each bid".

The starting price chases off most people and only the top expert will be able to contend for it.

As the bids climbed higher and higher, Kai felt his heart pounding in his chest. The money doesn't bother him, but he was worried of making too many enemies. But he refused to let anyone claim this mysterious scroll, since he wants it he has to get it.

100 million. He called out.

The whole hall turned silent upon hearing the same gentle and calm voice called out this unreasonable price.

Suddenly all the experts in each VIP room asked their subordinate to find out who Kai was.

Since no one else could bid above 100 million, the treasure was won by Kai. In just five minutes a maid brought the treasures into Kai's room and he made payments before rushing out of the auction house.
