Chapter 72: The beginning of the end.
As Kai approached the Serpent Bandit encampment, he was greeted by an imposing sight. The entrance was blocked by a massive black structure, towering above him and effectively cutting off any path into the camp. The walls surrounding the encampment were crumbling and fortified with barricades, making it clear that this was not a place to be taken lightly. A large formation could be seen surrounding the entire encampment, creating a dome-like structure that served as a formidable obstacle to anyone seeking to breach the fortress-like defences of the bandit camp.
Kai recognized the large dome covering the camp as a formation because Senior Long had taught him about it. He had also learned about the many mysteries and occupations in the cultivation world. Kai could sense that the formation was very strong, likely created by a powerful formation master. He knew it would be challenging for an ordinary expert in the late-stage-immortal realm.
