Chapter 19: Training.

Kai was confused about what Elder Xieling meant but decided not to overthink it since he would figure it out in time.

"Alright, ask your second question," Xieling said.

"My question is about the immortal realm; when I was in the core zone, I noticed that all the core members are of the same cultivation realm, but the aura they give out is stronger than each other; why is this?".

"I see; you are a good observant for noticing such a matter at your comprehension stage."

"Elder Xieling must be joking. I don't have heavenly talent like others, and I'm not gifted in anything, so I must make up for this by putting twice the effort everyone else put into the cultivation path," Kai explained with a depressing tone.

Xieling looked at Kai with a kind demonic smile, "Kai, you overthink, Heaven might be emotionless, but they have always been fair with everything; if any soul lacks some, then there has to be something equivalent given to him if Heaven takes something from you, there will surely be an equal reward," Elder Xieling said.

"As for the immortal realm, you can't use the mortal realm calculation to judge it, and you can only understand this when you get to such a stage, although the immortal stage was classified into three realms which are Low, Mid, and High. There were differences between immortals. Also, some are ordinary immortals, some are called immortal kings, and some are known as immortal emperors". Xieling paused a little after this explanation since Kai was lost in thought.

After a minute, she continued. " ordinary immortals are those immortals who have no special ability; they can only be ordinary even if they raised their cultivation to the peak of immortal, as for immortal kings, heaven blesses them; as they control the Heavenly Daos and the Heaven blessing make them much stronger and very terrifying."

"However, the immortal emperors are the son of heaven; they have an innate ability and can also control two or more of the heavenly dao laws, they are very terrifying. An immortal emperor can kill ten immortal kings even though they have the same cultivation base" Elder Xieling finished her explanation, but Kai was lost in thought.

After a few minutes, Kai calms down, understands everything clearly, and realizes that this world is much more complicated than he thought, which worries him a little. Still, when he thinks of how terrifying his cultivation techniques are, he regains his confidence immediately.

But then he asked, "Elder Xieling, if one comes across an immortal, how will one identify if they are ordinary immortal, or kings immortals or emperors immortals?"

"You will know with their demeanor and aura," Elder Xieling explained. "The heavenly dao will protect immortal kings and emperors with an invisible barrier, but since you can communicate with energies, you should be able to feel it if they don't have higher cultivation than you."

"However, immortal emperors always have a Heavenly dao crown on their head, which allows abundant luck to surround them with higher world fate energy. You might not understand what luck and fate energy is for now, but these are the two factors that make the immortal king and emperors very hard to kill cause heaven will not let them die easily, therefore if you want to kill them, you need a power that can wipe them of their luck and fate".

Seeing that Kai was still not able to understand this completely, Elder Xieling shook her head like he had said too much to Kai, "Kai, you don't have to overthink; everything will come clearer to you in time, just focus on walking steadily, their many prodigies who start brightly but end up as a whetstone for others, while some had to struggle from the start and in the end their brilliance illuminates the world."

Kai nodded; he stood up and bowed to Elder Xieling before walking away to sleep well for tomorrow's journey.

After Kai left, Elder Xieling looked at him, and runes were swimming around her eyes. "I found myself a treasure; maybe he really will be able to help me in the future." She muttered to herself with a helpless sigh before disappearing from the seat.

When Kai returned to his room, he met another food, so he did not bother thinking much and started devouring it.

After that, he went to sleep; however, once he fell asleep, Kai met himself in a world filled with giants, with violet stars sparkling around their bodies, while some had a whole universe shimmering around their skins.

They breathe out the purest energy from their nose and inhale the outside energy corruptions, pains, and other negativity that might corrupt the energies.

They were a universe on their own, and it's like they were helping every form of energy under heaven and earth.

With each step, they took, the earth would flourish, flowers would grow beneath their feet, and the whole universe would triumph with their existence. However, there were not many of them.

But it was peaceful, but suddenly, Kai saw the sky above this world turn pitch black, the energy became chaotic, and the air rumbled violently.

Then he saw multiple figures emerging from the sky from different angles; before he knew it, a colossal battle started; these figures started killing the giant figures; he couldn't see their face nor what they looked like.

He could only make out their physical appearance; he saw huge dragons fighting these giant figures. They started killing these figures, some swallowed them like they were the best supplements, and some threw these giants inside huge alchemy cauldrons.

This giant fought hard and killed, but they were overwhelmed. Suddenly a roar filled with unwillingness, anger, hate, and resentment resound throughout the whole universe; Kai was jolted awake by this roar, and before he knew it, awake from the dream, and sweat covered him from head to toe.

Kai felt fear appear in his heart, and he started shivering, and More sweat covered his body; he couldn't get rid of this fear, no matter how much he tried.

Suddenly the gate pattern on his head shone lightly, and a stream of energy entered Kai's body, which was directed to his heart; immediately, he felt a great comfort wash over his heart.

Kai calmed down after that; he took a deep breath before reciting the first stage of Heavenly body refinement art incantations.

He felt all the stars in his body glow lightly, he was already at the peak stage of the stellar transformation realm, but Kai was not willing to start the second stage yet, at least not until he could control his power very well.

Immediately Kai could feel a mysterious energy entering his body once he started reciting his chant; he knew this was the stars' energy, so he started merging them with his body while simultaneously thinking of the meaning of his dream.

This training section continues until the first ray of sunshine in his eyes. He immediately stood up and went outside to practice his morning saber art; then, he practiced his movement art before returning inside to take his bath and prepare to wait for Elder Xieling.

After waiting thirty minutes, Elder Xieling walked out as elegantly as always; she looked at Kai, "Kai, are you already?" She asked.

"Yes, elder Xieling," Kai replied in a firm tone.

"The training won't be easy because we will be entering the sorrow land forbidden zone of the Xian-Shan continent, which is the continent we are now, so prepare yourself."

"Yes," Kai said, and immediately Elder Xieling's energy wrapped around him before they both disappeared from the courtyard, appearing on a range of volcanoes outside the sect.

Kai was curious about this place, but before he could ask Elder Xieling the question, he saw the volcano ahead of them erupt; the whole ground shook violently like an earthquake was happening.

Suddenly a phoenix cry rang out in Kai's ears; he quickly looked at the top of the volcano and saw a huge-black bird fly out from inside the volcano; it had a typically black and red feather with golden streaks. It has a long, slender tail covered in black feathers, and its wings span miles away that it covers the sky, with sharp nails at the end of each feathered finger.

The Phoenix has a sharp golden beak; its enormous body emanates a powerful heat that can ignite any object that gets close to it.

Kai immediately felt tremendous pressure bore down on him, and his body felt like it would melt away at any moment soon; his clothes were soaked in sweat immediately because of the heat from the Phoenix, even though it was miles away from them.

However, when he stared at Elder Xieling, who was standing beside him, he noticed that she was as calm as ever, and there was a hint of compassion and love in her eyes when she looked at the Phoenix. These make Kai wonder about the relationship between the Phoenix and Elder Xieling.
